Decline hammer was always my favorite chest machine, feels awesome.

Yeah I read declines actually stimulate upper chest as much as inclines then stimulates the entire pec more and took the shoulders out of it so I figured I would focus on declines instead of flat or inclines for a while and see how it goes

Yes I believe the decline hits the whole chest better than flat or incline. When I did just decline for about 6 months my chest was much bigger and fuller. I did this due to shoulder pain and it was great for taking shoulders out.

This has been my issue every time I’ve attempted decline bench as well.

Yes I hate decline for that reason exactly so I don’t do as drastic a decline as most I Put a couple 45s under the decline bench or use the decline hammer that way you are sitting up straight. Also never went that heavy using bar because of that.

I have an adjustable decline bench I use with dumbbells. I don't know the percentage of the decline but if I were to use a subjective assessment I would say a moderate decline. It's not severe and not slight. I got it adjusted to where it just feels right.

On a side note if you have having shoulder issues with benching try the decline. I have zero shoulder problems when I use it. Just hits the pecs hard with no pain. One trick I did that made a difference is that I try to keep the dumbbells a little wide when I do the decline bench. When I first got the thing I was doing them very narrow decreasing pec stimulation but increasing triceps involvement. Going a little wide made a big difference in how my pecs feel after.

I recall that when I tried declines decades ago, I could handle much more weight with ease.  I did not like them and so I quit doing them.  Perhaps I was wrong?

Today:

3 sets of 10 each on Smith BB Rows and Lat Pulldowns.
5 sets of 10 each on DB Flyes.
5 Sets of 10 each on DB Laterals.
5 Sets of 10 each on BB Curls.
5 Sets of 10 each on Tricep Pushdowns.
5 Sets of 10 each on Standing DB Wrist Curls.

I will train again on Friday or Saturday as I fell kinda depleted right now.

Listening to '50s Doo Wop songs right now while reading the forum!

If you lack a decline bench just do chest dips.

Deeps and cheens.

Declines unless done to the throat with a wide grip for high reps = a waste of time........super-set with dips or throw them into a tri-set with dips and db pullovers....heavy weights to the throat will fuck your shoulders up so these intensity techniques work and you do not have to go  heavy as the intensity is a bitch when not resting,

Just my 2 CC`s!!

Anyone can bounce much heavier weight off of their lower ribcage/diagrapm area.....it`s an ego lift that targets the ego only unless done correctly.
