The liquor store near my office now has a fully locked door and escort policy.
They only allow 5 people in at a time and escort you around the store.
All because they have been losing $10k a month on theft from homeless people and other degenerates that steal. They are not allowed to touch the thieves or risk getting arrested. The Police do not punish these people because they are only stealing a $100-200 or so at a time. Filling up backpacks with liquor and just walking out the door. Many of these people are doing this multiple times a day.
The most bizarre thing i've seen in America recently.
But it makes sense, i guess.
The Walgreens across the street has put all liquor and wine behind locked cases, you have to ask an employee to open the case. Last week a homeless lady tried to break open the cases and an employee tried to stop her, was told by management if she touches someone again she will get fired.
