I do not lie I have no reason to. The woman's name is Tina. Factually she came in one day wearing a blue moomoo (think Simpsons when homer got fat to claim disability) and she walked right up to the counter and slapped a piece of paper down and said, matter of fact my, "my doctor just wrote me this saying I got six months to lose weight and get my affairs in order. And I don't wanna die, I will do whatever you say but you can't be wrong. Will you help me?" Sure as shit the letter was from he PCP declaring her morbid obesity and cholesterol were so bad she had, he felt, six months to live.
I wrote her a hardcore chicken rice broccoli EFAs with some meal replacement protein shakes diet and advised her how to do cardio. She lost I believe 100 lbs In the first 90 days. She was one of my favorite customers.
One day she came in to shop and didnt say a word just went about her business grabbing this and that. I honestly didn't recognize her, it wasn't until I swiped her credit card I was like "Tina?!" She started crying.
Turns out after dropping an insane amount of fat she went all In and had gastric bypass. She was pushing 400 when I met her, and was around 140-150 some years later. She regretted the gastric bypass because she described a single shrimp would make her full so she lost too much weight and was living on weight gainers trying not to starve to death. I was and am very proud of her. No chance In hell of me sticking to my own diet, she really wanted to live.
Most notable detail, one night she and her doctor came into the store so he could shake my hand. Thanked me told me victories are rare in his line of work.
