Can't even see how of my windows to gauge how much snow we have so far.....
Beautiful! Never heard of turf instead of wood though, but if it gets the job done great.
This summer will probably be sweltering and we'll miss this.
Wood gives good heat and has a lovely crackling sound, good heat from turf too and a nice smell as long as its not too much. Coal gives the most heat but pretty nasty to breathe. Climate change nazis wont use turf, peat briquettes were banned for production in Ireland now they are imported from Poland
It was 75 degrees Sunday afternoon; by Sunday evening it was in the 40s. We even have a freeze warning in the wee hours of the morning (in the high 20s). But, by Thursday, it'll be a high of 80 again.
There are no summers where I live........this place sux!!

Northern N.Y. state near Canada.......winter's are long,and summer begins in August. When I first moved here, we had 27 inches of snow and it was 27 below zero.......it`s not as bad these days thank God.
The Weather sucks, i usually say, Fine, lets have snow for maximum two-three weeks for the sake of all the children and professional skiers, but then cut it.
Why did you move there?
I figured it would be hot and humid there in the summer.
It get`s hot for about 2-3 weeks.............mostly cool with tons of rain in the spring and summer.
People always complain of the weather here but I just say it's Sweden! What do you expect? You're 30-40-50 and you still bitch over the obvious I'm an anomaly since I like colder weather and snow, even like rain. In the summer heat I'm miserable a lot of times. If it's cold you can put on clothes or take a hot bath or whatever but if it's hot you can't remove any clothes once you are naked. Plus androgens make you run hot
