Oh, look. Another false label after losing a debate.
What debate? I asked a question. YOU are so obsessed with blaming Trump you connect dots and wind yourself into circles over the mention of Trumps name. Settle down.

BTW, didn't even read the rest of your stupid post, dummy.

You make a great point.  To answer your question: I think both Trump and the oil companies are equally to blame.  The closure of the Strait of Hormuz has had a major effect on the supply of oil.  The oil companies then took advantage of the situation to raise their prices beyond the direct effects of the supply shortage.

Do you have a solution in mind for the profiteering?  Government regulation and/or nationalization of the oil&gas industry would be great, but I know that’s an unpopular opinion in the US
Glad to see someone can respond rationally!

I don't have a solution for the record profits. That's where it gets sticky IMO with government regulations/control over pricing/profits. While I have fully recognized and agreed Trump caused this with his military attack, I still think not enough people are looking at oil companies and their record profits with a side eye. I would suggest government run gas stations but the government fucks up everything they get involved in.

Iranian missile launched at US aircraft carrier.  In response three Iranian oil tankers have been sunk.

Iran now says all US Naval ships are now targets.

Just warning shots to get them to leave area IMHO. Causing a mass casualty event is not in any way in their best interest and if they managed to sink a carrier the response would be a nuke for sure. One Navy guy said they would need to fire 200-500 missiles, or in his estimation 10% of their inventory, and get a hit that caused a fire that spread and melted down steel. I think I saw Iran bombed three U.S. linked shipping vessels as a response.

But it shows they have plenty of capabilities left. And who thinks Lloyd's wants to insure ships in this environment?

Some say Trump has two choices, flee or nuke. Prof. Robert Pape says the U.S. would need 1 million men for a ground operation to win and the U.S. only has 150K combat troops right now.

Trump's saying "A lot of people don’t call it a war. I call it a military conflict because it’s small potatoes for us. It’s not a big thing. There’s a lot of truth that we’re not fighting right now. There’s no fighting." OK no worries then.

With so much time on your hands and the world of information at your fingertips, you still spread lies just because it makes the US look bad. Why?
Hasn't Trump repeatedly said we wouldn't use nukes? Honestly I think it's become a waiting game, with each side taking pots shots at each other randomly.

A reasonable current estimate is that the U.S. has roughly 400,000–450,000 personnel in active‑duty roles directly trained and designated for ground combat, excluding most support and administrative staff

It's the admin, that's making the U.S. look bad, not me. You can contest the "facts" but in any case it wasn't "spreading lies" on my part. I've heard the figure 100-150K ground combat troops from many fmr. generals and other military. I could put up videos of the discussions but you don't watch videos. I don't willfully lie, I might get my facts wrong from time to time.

Quote
The U.S. military has roughly 1.3 million active-duty personnel, but the exact number of strict ground combat troops is not officially published as a single static figure because most service members work in support or specialized roles.

Where's the lie?

AI says:

General Force Structure

Total Active Duty: Around 1.3 million across all six branches.

U.S. Army Active Duty: Approximately 458,100 soldiers.

Brigade Combat Teams (BCTs): The U.S. Army maintains 59 total BCTs (the basic tactical ground combat force of about 4,000 soldiers each), with 32 in the active component and the rest in the National Guard.

Combat vs. Support Ratio: Users on platforms like Quora generally reach a consensus that only about 10% to 20% of military personnel serve in direct combat-related positions, while the rest provide vital logistics, intelligence, and medical support.

Whatever the case, the U.S. would need many more troops than it has if Pape is right about only a ground operation would give the U.S. victory.

Hasn't Trump repeatedly said we wouldn't use nukes? Honestly I think it's become a waiting game, with each side taking pots shots at each other randomly.

Trump says a lot of things. I don't know if Trump will or won't use nukes eventually. But he's clearly referenced nukes in a round about way several times now. And I believe MTG when she says nukes come up in discussions at the highest level. Joe Kent and many others fear nukes are a very real possibility. Oh but Kent just has TDS! Ok but it's still not like he's a nobody with zero insight. Let's hope it doesn't come to that.

I agree that it's a waiting game but the U.S. has IMO much less tolerance for economic impacts. I'm predicting (guessing) "negotiations" will come up very soon from the U.S. side and it will be framed by Trump as Iran "begging" but it will be the other way around.

😂

This isn't it exactly, but instead of actually winning Trump has taken to naming things instead. It's very juvenile and embarrassing behavior. Coins, buildings, countries, lakes, straits, anything and everything. Building statues to himself. Gold plating everything in an ugly Kitsch style.

Kitsch (often spelled kitsch) most commonly refers to art, objects, or design considered to be in poor taste due to excessive garishness, sentimental over-expression, or unrefined irony.

Is this stateman-like behavior in your opinion? An AI video of an imaginary Kharg Island bombing. Really? ???

The Iran videos are far better tbh.

The rap videos in particular are top notch trolling.

I wrote out a nice reply but figured you're too far gone to reason with. You're the retard that makes the posts filled with lies and misinformation on getbig then tries to justify them with random AI quotes or I heard "from many fmr. generals and other military" like you've got the inside scoop on Americas military. Change your leftist liberal algorithm, it's obviously fucked up your ability to be rational or reasonable.
