No.

The point, once again like the algae, is selective outrage.  You ignored it completely with the last admin, but now it's a thing to you.

You are being led about on a leash.

I disagree with your comparison. Yes, the Lincoln Memorial reflecting pool had algae during the last administration. In fact, the algae has been a problem since the reflecting pool was finished in 1923. The algae is a result of the pool's design and the Washington D.C. climate. Trump's ill-advised decision to paint/coat the pool dark blue exacerbated the algae problem because darker colors absorb more sunlight which results in raising the water temperature. Algae thrives in warmer water. Had Trump or his staff done a little research or the company Trump hired to coat the pool advised Trump of that this would happen; the whole mess could have been avoided.

The bottom line is that most people ignored the algae problem for decades regardless of who was President and would have continued to ignore it had Trump not made such a fuss about fixing up the Lincoln Memorial reflecting pool and blamed the algae on "vandals" instead of just admitting making he made a mistake.

It will be interesting to see what the contractors do to repair this mess. Will they recoat it in a dark color or will they go for a lighter one. I read that the reflecting pool should have some type of coating because it leaks and also removing the current coating and returning it to a bare concrete slab is extremely involved and expensive.

I see your point but = It's more a matter of degree and the diversity of the transgressions that I'm concerned about. I don't like the word outrage because that implies blind hate which I don't have.. Well it's off to pump some tiny iron. be back tomorrow,,, I hope.

Can you prove degree between the two?

Hope the workout was good - would prefer more gold weight though.

The primary distinction between allegations of corruption against Donald Trump and Joe Biden lies in the nature, scale, and institutional impact of the claims, with Trump's involving official actions and felony convictions and Biden's centering on the unproven domestic and foreign business dealings of his family. Public perception heavily reflects this split, as multiple Yahoo News/YouGov polls consistently show that a larger percentage of Americans view the Trump family as corrupt compared to the Biden family.Core Distinctions at a GlanceFeatureDonald TrumpJoe BidenPrimary AllegationsUsing the presidency for personal financial gain, interfering with elections, hiding classified documents, and undermining the Department of Justice.Enabling or tacitly permitting family members to profit from the "Biden" family name in overseas business deals.Legal OutcomesConvicted on 34 felony counts in New York; faced multiple federal and state criminal indictments. No criminal charges or formal findings of personal wrongdoing or corruption.Institutional ImpactCharacterized by political scientists as "big corruption," or using the state apparatus itself to commit or mask wrongdoing.Evaluated by ethics experts as "influence-peddling"—a long-standing, systemic issue in Washington politics.Financial ScaleBillions of dollars in foreign and domestic business flow through Trump-owned properties and family ventures while in or near office.Millions of dollars collected by his son and brother via private consulting and foreign board memberships.Donald Trump: Personal Enrichment & Institutional PowerThe allegations and legal cases surrounding Donald Trump focus directly on his personal behavior, his business empire, and his exercise of presidential authority.Direct Enrichment: Trump maintained ownership of his business empire while in office, leading to bipartisan criticism regarding the Constitutional Emoluments Clause as foreign governments spent millions at his hotels.Criminal Convictions and Indictments: Trump is the first former U.S. president convicted of felonies, stemming from falsifying business records to conceal hush-money payments. He has faced federal indictments for attempting to overturn the 2020 election and the willful retention of classified defense documents.Systemic Resistance to Oversight: During his administration, Trump systematically fired or replaced independent inspectors general responsible for tracking government spending and waste, declaring himself the ultimate arbiter of oversight.Joe Biden: Influence Peddling & Family ProximityThe allegations against Joe Biden focus primarily on the concept of "influence peddling," where family members—specifically his son, Hunter Biden, and brother, James Biden—capitalized on their proximity to power.Hunter Biden's Foreign Deals: Critics point to Hunter Biden's lucrative board seats and consulting roles with foreign companies, such as Burisma in Ukraine and CEFC in China, while Joe Biden was Vice President.Lack of Direct Linkage: Extensive House GOP-led investigations reviewed thousands of pages of bank records and suspicious activity reports. These formal inquiries failed to produce conclusive evidence linking Joe Biden’s policy decisions to his family's private financial benefits.Systemic Washington Norms: Independent watchdog groups like the Project On Government Oversight (POGO) notes that while Hunter Biden’s behavior reflects an unseemly, classic "swamp" dynamic of trading on a famous last name, Joe Biden himself largely adhered to traditional ethics rules, such as cooperating fully with classified document investigations.14 sitesVoters think the Trump family is more corrupt than the Biden ...Oct 28, 2020 — Voters think the Trump family is more corrupt than the Biden family * At a recent rally, President Donald Trump said that the Bide...YouGovTrump leads Biden in Americans' perceptions of how they'd handle ...Jul 12, 2024 — Trump leads Biden in Americans' perceptions of how they'd handle the country's biggest problems. ... When I called I asked for a free estimate to replace the chimney cap if needed. The appointment confirmation you emailed me shows a $99 charge for a sweep and inspection. The chimney does not need inspecting nor does the metal flue. Please explain this.

Yeah but that way the DONALD won't be getting his kickback. Imagine paying 15 million for a job that should have cost 2 million. Hell buy the paint yourself hire two kids at 10 dollars an hour and they would have done it in a week.

Former Allentown Mayor Ed Pawlowski served as the city's mayor from 2006 until his resignation in March 2018. In October 2018, he was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison after being convicted on 47 charges—including bribery, fraud, and conspiracy—stemming from a pay-to-play scheme where city contracts were traded for campaign donations. Pawlowski was released from federal prison in mid-2026 and has since returned to Allentown. The Rise of Ed PawlowskiEd Pawlowski was elected mayor of Allentown in 2005, taking office in 2006. During his first two terms, he was highly credited with revitalizing the city, steering the "Queen City" out of decline by spurring economic development, bringing in new businesses, and attracting investment to downtown Allentown. He won reelection in 2009 and 2013, remaining highly popular as he also launched unsuccessful runs for higher office, including bids for governor and the U.S. Senate. The FBI Investigation and IndictmentPawlowski's political career derailed when the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) raided Allentown City Hall and his home in July 2015 as part of a sweeping probe into the city's contracting practices. Investigators discovered that Pawlowski and his political aides had orchestrated a pay-to-play scheme. City vendors, contractors, and law firms were pressured and bribed into contributing hundreds of thousands of dollars to his campaigns in exchange for lucrative municipal contracts. Despite the ongoing FBI investigation, Pawlowski managed to win a fourth term as mayor in 2017. However, he was indicted by a federal grand jury shortly after in July 2017.Conviction, Sentence, and PrisonIn March 2018, a federal jury found Pawlowski guilty on 47 of 54 federal corruption counts, including conspiracy, honest services wire fraud, and bribery. He resigned from his mayoral post shortly after the verdict. In October 2018, U.S. District Judge Juan A. Sánchez sentenced Pawlowski to 15 years in federal prison, followed by three years of supervised release. He spent roughly seven years behind bars, teaching classes to fellow inmates and training service dogs during his incarceration.Release and Return to AllentownAfter serving approximately half of his sentence, Pawlowski was released from federal custody in June 2026. He initially served a short stint at a halfway house in Philadelphia before being approved to return home to Allentown. Upon his return, he announced his presence in the city, making public statements thanking supporters and expressing excitement about his future.11 sitesEd Pawlowski - WikipediaIn 2013, the Federal Bureau of Investigation began "interception of electronic and wire communications" in Allentown City Hall. I read that the reflecting pool should have some type of coating because it leaks and also removing the current coating and returning it to a bare concrete slab is extremely involved and expensive.

Quote
Obama administration (2010–2012): A major reconstruction of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool addressed leaks, water quality, stagnant water, and infrastructure issues. It was funded largely by the 2009 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (stimulus), took about 18 months, and cost around $34–35 million. The pool reopened in August 2012 with updated circulation from the Tidal Basin, shallower design, new paths, and pilings.
However, problems like leaks, algae, and water loss persisted afterward (e.g., needing massive additional water volumes in later years), which critics later highlighted.

Trump administration (2026): Trump ordered a quicker resurfacing project to fix leaks/algae and paint the bottom "American flag blue" (polyurea coating), plus a new nanobubbler filtration system. It used no-bid contracts to companies with Trump ties.

Original estimate: ~$1.5–2 million, to be done in ~1–2 weeks.
Actual/expanded cost: Ballooned to ~$14–16+ million (painting ~$14–15M; filtration ~$1.7M), with added work on the exterior/walkways.
Completed in roughly 2 months (by early June 2026), far faster than the prior project.

Outcomes: Post-project issues quickly emerged, including algae blooms turning the water green, peeling paint, and reported leaks/vandalism (disputed by some). Trump defended it as a success compared to prior efforts, blaming external factors.

Summary comparison: Obama's was a comprehensive, longer, and more expensive infrastructure rebuild (~$34M) that didn't fully solve recurring problems. Trump's was a faster, surface-focused repaint/filtration effort that started much cheaper but overran to about half the Obama cost—yet faced similar rapid deterioration and controversy over contracting and results. Both aimed to address chronic maintenance challenges with the historic ~2,000-ft pool.

One you never heard of.

The other was the biggest thing in the news.

Selective outrage, fueled by a dishonest media, manipulative algorithms, and TDS.

Oh, not interested.  That seems like a local politician thing.  I do remember there was some hippie-ish place near allentown that had a big flea market in the 80s - when I lived in NJ we would go there once in a while....can't remember what it was called - New Hope?

But do you have link to the unbiased independent media source that you pasted the response from?
