I mean it when I say I do not give one iota of attention to this stuff.  I don't know what it looks like, what the proposal is, if it's necessary, etc....I do know renovations have been happening all the time under various admins, and assume this is just more selective outrage because that's the motive for everyone against Trump.

But hilarious that folks are up in arms about ripping down a "historic piece of American history" yet were perfectly fine with statues being toppled regularly that were just that.

Who was fine with historic statues being toppled? Do you mean the idiots doing the toppling? Likewise, Trump was just fine with turning the Whitehouse East Wing into an ugly crater without the Congressional approval.
