I just checked to see if Zane was really dead, and found this:

# 1968 Mr. Universe Short 1st & Overalll
# 1967 IFBB Mr. Universe Tall 3rd

I guess from 67 to 68 he lost a few inches of height. That's rough.

I don't blame him at all for wanting to enjoy the good life, not a bit. On the other hand, looking at him you'd never know he'd even touched a weight; he looks just short of pathetic. In lieu of pride or determination to maintain, at least throw on a T-shirt in public, to mask the deterioration..

Why would he care? He's made a living, for over 25 years, off his body (and charisma). He has left those days behind and has taken other venues, venues he sucks at imho, but that's another matter.
It was probably a bloody hot day, no way he's gonna wear a shirt!

Same goes for me with Rambo and Jean Claude van Damme in Hard Target, i never saw such insane muscle machines.. when i look at them today i say they are just skinny and like the abb work haha.

I know that evrybody gets old, but I've seen ex-bodybuilders in their sixties that look way better than what Arnold shows. I think Arnold stop lifting all together. Bill Kazmaier is 53yrs old and I dont think he'll look anything like Arnold when he's 60

The thing about Schwarzenegger was that he obviously had a very exaggerated hyper-reaction to hormones-disturbing to see how much size he lost without them, even when younger. Makes the muscles seem all the more artificial that he doesn't retain them, unlike others like Kaz who will always have some size.

Here somewhere in the 80s with tiny arms & swimmer's bod; even then it hardly looked like he'd ever lifted. Barely looks like the same person. Probably why he had an embarassed grimace.

im not using it as an excuse but arnold seems like a very busy guy,its not like years ago when he lived in golds training for hours on end,imo id say lets not focus on his present condition and lets remember him in the pumping iron days and show those pics,he was one of the best in history
