Oh, shit!!!

I'm officially marking the fuck out.  PPV?

Now I've got to dig up my big DVD's of Combat from Rutten; Kimo should be a good tune up for him...

I almost dropped a load in my pants when I first heard Bas was returning to the ring.  I actually got to meet him at a local show in Houston a couple of years ago...real mellow guy.  Anyone who doesn't know who Bas is isn't a fight fan.

Bas has a black belt in both Kyokushin(Oyama) and Tae Kwon Do. He's a karate guy like me!

yeah but that's when he mix it up but all those kicks, knees etc most of that shit is from the thaiboxing
anyway it's good that he's back, it's interesting and gives us somethign to talk about and speculate... but kimo is a chump, remember him against ken shamrock.
wonder what's next for bas, and the reasons for a comeback, must be good money in the new organization, or doesnt the movie career go as good as he thought
i wasnt expecting a comeback at all let's put him against frank shamrock, now that's a fight i would wanna see, and why not since frank shamrock fought so recentely and he isn't tied to ufc either.
maybe that's what's up after bas wins over kimo.

I'm really curious to see just how good Bas is today; Kimo may not be a top challenge but shouldn't be taken too lightly.  Anyway, I'll be looking for the liver shot :)

No he's not Krav Maga. He's a black belt in both Kyokushin Karate and Tae Kwon Do. He took kickboxing later on in life. This is a fact. Look it up.

That's true, but he recently started co-promoting krav maga as a self-defense system.  He also opened a school in LA w/ Couture.  Bas is all about the $$$...

yeah. He's a smart business man. Krav Maga is like most special forces styles - it's an amalgamation of effective attacks with judo. Something you learn in 13 weeks in the marine core.

Notice how Bas doesn't throw wild arm punches like Lidell. That's because of his Karate background. His punches are far more powerful than other fighters around his weight. Even his palm strike is more devestating than Lidells arm punches.

Make this simple, how many Martial Artists that do traditional arts ONLY win championships in today's style of MMA, K-1 and Pride? That's easy. NONE, NADA, ZERO.
