Pics can be very misleading-in the first pic there's a little detail, like the fact Jay's tensing his abs and Coleman's not.. ::)

Coleman will always have a big edge in structure, tapers, aesthetics, size and volume. Those fundamentals are hard to overcome without a bigger disparity in conditioning than has been the case so far.

2005 was Cutler's peak - he's on his way to being the next Nasser

2001 was undoubtedly the best Cutler's looked before or since.

But what I see in that pic is Cutler looking like an amateur standing next to Coleman.  Even in 2001 Jay was simply way outclassed.  And from the back the difference was even more obvious.

lol you're joking right?  For the love of god I hope you are joking because either you are the funniest man alive or have the iq and bodybuilding sense of a passed out squirrel.

I like to think that I'm both funny AND have a reasonably high IQ and sense of bodybuilding aesthetics.  But my earlier post wasn't meant to be a joke and I'm sorry if it came across that way.

I am a big fan of both Ronnie and Jay.......I think both are the epitome of what bodybuilding is all about. Ronnie simply was not as crisp and hard as Jay was in 2001. Jay was in better shape period.....for THAT year.

Last year, if you look at Jay's "One step closer" DVD - you could see that he WAS in great shape.. BUT to me looked a little smooth or soft. Nothing like 2001. Ronnie came in very hard again. If anything, Jay was lucky to get 2nd in my opinion.

Read some of his post Olympia interviews and he said he over carbed on yams....he said that made him feel bloated and gave him an upset stomach.

I think some of the hammering on Jay is a little harsh....the dude is no pipsqueak....he's a class act as well.

Ever notice how the Mr. O winners tend to win year after year.  When the race is close, go with the default (=previous year's winner), and only crown a new one when the old Number 1 steps down and retires.  This is the same logic that Vince McMahon used to use, having Hulk Hogan hold onto the WWF title for long periods of time, to give added prestige to the championship.  In this sense, the Mr. O contest results are "fixed."  I suspect Weider likes it this way.  He likes champs who are yes-men.  Someone like Titus or PRiest would be horrible Mr. O's, regardless of whether they really are better than Ronnie, because they would not go with the status quo but would be outspoken.

Dude...no one here HATES Ronnie.......Ronnie is and was awesome in many contests. Just like Arnold was....but did Arnold really "win" the 1980 Olympia??? No, he didn't...does that mean I hate the guy for saying that....No.

Big Ron shouldn't have won the title in 2001 - simple as that. Did Ronnie beat Jay in 2005?? Yes....I think he did.

I personally think that Jay will win it this year IF he comes in a bit crisper than last year. He looked too damn smooth. Look at pics from last year to 2001.....

 :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o

did you watch the video? 2001 was Ronnie's. Hell even cheating didn't help Jay beat the man.

2005 Olympia - Clear Ronnie victory. Watch the prejudging on the BFTO 2005 and you'll see why. With 2 iches and 20-40 lbs on Cutler, Ronnie owned the stage that day.

2006 - Jay can win??? HA! Jay's midsection is wider than practically anyone else on stage. Being "a little tighter" won't be enough

Still not getting it..

-Pics do not convey Coleman's margin of superiority; even when Cutler was in better condition in 01, Coleman had and always will have fundamental advantages related to structure, tapers to smaller bones, volume, size and aesthetics. Don't confuse conditioning with the overall package; Cutler could never overcome basic problems such as blockiness that had nothing to do with conditioning.

-Like Coleman, Schwarzenegger was generally so much better that even at less than his best there was no one clearly better.

Too simplistic, it's very important but there are plenty of other considerations.

I'm surpried you can say that with a straight face after watching the clip. Besides, Ronnie's conditioning was off becuase diuretics were banned that year. Jay's only edge over Ronnie was that he was drier and he only obtained that by taking diuretics. Cheating couldn't even give him the win.

True champions don't cheat - the Mr. Olympia is a true champion - Ronnie is Mr. OLympia. True story.
