Topic: Office flirtation/romance.
Ok I have dated women I work with before no prob at all. BUT now I work at a school, so is it completely inappropriate to flirt and or ask a female co-worker out in that environment. It seems like it. Should I just try to talk and get off campus then flirt? What should I do?

Co-worker, go for it anywhere, except the ladies washroom. She's an adult, just keep it out of the public eye. Wait for the toga party in the teachers lounge, hopefully close to the hot tub. Maybe after you two chug a few from the keggers in a beer funnel or three. We all know what goes on in the "lounge" ;D

Wow your image of a teachers lounge sounds fun! We have an off campus xmas party in a couple weeks, perhaps that is a good time to "feel things out." Also like you said, I will keep it out of the public eye, just a lot of talking and smiling.

i dated a dispatcher and it took her no time at all to "accidentally" let everyone at the PD know we were dating. women are genetically coded to NOT keep secretes.

I don't care if other staff know after we are dating, but during the courtship/flirting phase that is the tricky part because it is at a school with studnts around.

Seriously what is the worst that will happen, she won't be interested, big deal... her loss.
but what i have read about your posts, I will bet that isn't going to happen, but if you don't extend the interest, nothing will happen.
We women are pretty simple (in the beginning) step up, be noticed, or be forgotten. When you get noticed, we change the rules though

Also, have you considered if you do end up dating if you eventually break up you'll still be seeing her day after day after day after day?

One time (at band camp) I knew this bouncer at a bar named Tony. We used to talk about about random stuff as I would be on my break with the band. At some point he brought up the waitress named Karen, and was talking about how wild she was, how she'll say this or that.
I decided that I would tell him something she had said to a friend of mine when they were talking one night. Apparently my friend was flirting with her, and he swore that she was coming onto him, and that they had it set up for a date in a couple of days- but the date never materialized. Once at a point where each other were comfortable in the conversation, Karen offed this little tidbit to Michael (my friend).
"I love anal sex. Simply put, there is no better feeling than riding home on the bus while feeling the &*$ drip out of my butt."
Two years later, Tony and Karen come out and told everyone they had been dating for the last 5yrs. And Tony looked at me and told me that he did remember my story, and who it involved. :o
Just another reason dating at the workplace, while fun and entertaining, is not the best of ideas. When it goes wrong, boy can it ever go wrong!!!

No policy against dating her, she's not my boss or anything. I am not too worried about the break up because I have historically never had ugly break up. Plus if that does happen it's not a big deal, we work in seperateddepts and have minimal contact. Pluse it's a school and we are both mature, but thanks for looking out for me! No matter what I do I will be careful and keep you posted.

lol its okay calf, never married. I worked as a casino investigator for almost 8 years and saw what that did between pit bosses and cocktail waitress's...women are usually the ones that are nuts

Depends on school policy. If the student is of legal age, hot, and you have no authority over them it's a good hit.

If you like your gym, never date somebody from the gym.
If you like your church, never date somebody from your church.

Where ever I have worked, I have slept with at least one co-worker. I am a constant flirt, and sometimes I don't even realize when I'm doing it. One time I had a huge crush on one chick, but I was seeing another that, to put it lightly, didn't have the connection that I had with my crush. Didn't end well for Parker.
Not to say one can't make a love connection at work. I just keep getting a busy signal, or the wrong number.
If you so choose to date a person at work and it doesn't work out, it makes things odd, and there is potential for jealousy to ensue if one starts dating another co-worker or if one finds another person real quick.
