Just so we're clear...this situation wasn't similar to one where police are gunfighting with someone in an alley. This was a situation where the subject was contained in a house, completely surrounded, and there was an absolute flood of law enforcement, who had been in the area for a considerable amount of time, with full knowledge of who this person was. Would you disagree with any of this?
what does any of that have to do with the fact that there were plenty of officers who were there, that weren't even SWAT and were well within range of a rifle..on TOP of the fact that body armor doesn't make you impervious to bullets, like you keep trying to comvince it does.

you are WRONG, they exhausted lesser means, they tried negotiating, tried standard tear gas, didn't work..he kept shooting at them.
you are WRONG....not everyone was behind a shield, not everyone had body armor..they were facing an armed and very dangerous suspect who had killed a cop less than an hour beforehand. they were in imminent danger, he was FIRING BULLETS at them and trying to kill them.
