is that a drug?Ayahuasca (ayawaska pronounced [ajaˈwaska] in the Quechua language) is any of various psychoactive infusions or decoctions prepared from the Banisteriopsis spp. vine, usually mixed with the leaves of dimethyltryptamine-containing species of shrubs from the Psychotria genus. The brew, first described academically in the early 1950s by Harvard ethnobotanist Richard Evans Schultes, who found it employed for divinatory and healing purposes by Amerindians of Amazonian Colombia, is known by a number of different names (see below). A notable and puzzling property of ayahuasca is that neither of the ingredients cause any significant psychedelic effects when imbibed alone; they must be consumed together in order to have the desired effect. How indigenous peoples discovered the psychedelic properties of the ayahuasca brew remains a point of contention in the scientific community.[1]

Who the fuck is Stewart? Why is such a retarded response posted here at all?

I drank Ayahuasca several times when attending ceremonies of Ayahuasca churches. It may give you a challenging time at first, depending on your current state, but visions will clear up as you progress in your own spiritual evolution (which requires listening).
Of course I would advise anyone with serious mental or physical problems against drinking it.

^^^ what did you see?

A lot of things. Light and Darkness. Life and Death. The Ayahuasca as a life form, the spirit of the "plant", being like an alien in the bodies of all people that drank it. My own mind as a building with rooms that I could walk into and explore. The universe as a vast infinite ocean and our physical reality as a very small, insignificant island that doesn't matter at all. Lot's more and things that I could not comprehend, that I cannot translate into words.

Also it seemed like it takes some time for your inner sense to get used to the other-world, to "see things" and make some sense of them. But even after the experience for some time a window in your mind remains open. That at least was my experience.

Extremely interesting.
Read a book about this(could be from Leary?) and it was quite crazy what wisdom and knowledge the natives possess.
Hats off to "nature" and those who, at least try to, understand it.
I would love to try such stuff, but I'm mentally too unstable.

Is that why they were still wiping their asses with leaves?

Nope. Thinking about trying some salvia again. After an epic mushroom journey about 6 years ago I still haven't felt the need to use any psychedelics. Just weed and lots of meditation. Most people find lady S to be a difficult bitch but I've had a yearning to try it again.

After 1 more trip of salvia and maybe some mushroom tea (faster onset and overall trip) I might give ayahuasca a try.

Try mushrooms a few times first. Maybe some lsd if you know the right characters that produce legit batches. IF you can handle that without losing all faith in the world move on to some ayahuasca. It's not cut out for your everyday dude .

I agree. Ayahuasca, at least according to trip reports I've read, seems like more of a rough experience. I don't even like the idea of most people imbibing in mushrooms because most people just "wanna get fucked up" and laugh their asses off. I know I should brush it off and to each their own, but people should respect and reverse psychedelics a little more.

I don't have much sympathy for people who use them in large groups and end up having an ultra bad trip that leaves a horrific, lasting impression. Serves them right. In a way "bad trips" can be some of the best. Last day of high school I had a bad trip including full blown ego loss and it changed my life drastically. Stopped being a douche bag and started caring more and contributing more to the lives of people I come across.... except on the internet, you fags can fuck yourselves. ;D

(seriously though, I still respect psychedelics big time... plan your trips carefully, have a trip sitter, trip in a safe environment and set up activities and prepare some snacks and don't fight the trip... let it be, just like the Beatles song my niggas. Happy and safe tripping)

Anyone interested should look up 5MEO dmt and buy some as it's still legal (illegal in 2 states i forget which) and very similar to ayahuasca. If you just found that out from this post i'd suggest you don't try but hey wtf why not try it out  ;D

Salvia is the strongest thing I have ever tried.  I tripped so hard I completely lost touch with reality.  Its way too much.  I gave the rest away after two sessions.  The first I did such a small amount I didn't trip too badly but the second time was unreal.

multiply that by 100 and you get lsd. Multiply lsd by an unimaginably high number and you get dmt  ;D

Salvia is good for a laugh....tried various strengths and had some amusing little trips.

Magic mushrooms gave me the best ab workout I have ever had, I laughed pretty much constantly for several hours.  LDS was similar but I experienced a few downs, this was dependant on my surroundings (when I walked in shadows/darkness I felt nasty).

I am interested in trying yopi, peyoti or wood rose seeds.....anyone tried?

I'd like to but I've done zero research.  I've never even heard of yopi or wood rose seeds. I'll have to check it out.

I've done acid and mushrooms lots of times.  I started doing acid back in the late 70s.  I didn't try salvia 'til a couple years ago and I tripped harder by far on salvia than I ever did on acid or mushrooms.  Never tried DMT though.

Guys, seriously, if you EVER get the chance to try DMT, do it.

It will change the way you view life and your own mind.

Wood rose seeds are just like a weak acid trip.

It is pretty much impossible to find, i used it about 10 years ago.

It was an out of body experience, i was looking at everything from an outside view.

Doesn't last long.

Salvia doesn't either, but that doesn't help because time loses all meaning and it seems like you were gone forever.  Its horrible.
