..yes, that's right HUMMUS. I've only recently tried this stuff, and damn does it taste great! I'm wondering if anybody knows how much fat this stuff usually contains. I hear there's usually some olive oil added to the chick pea puree, so as long as it isn't too much then at least the fats are the 'good' kind.
Of course the white pita bread you dip into it can't be that healthy in certain regards, but man....Hummus is awesome! Protein from the chick peas, healthy fats...slap that on some whole wheat pita and you've got what I'd consider a great bodybuilding food.
And speaking of Middle Eastern foods, does anybody know about the dietary make up of falafel? They're vegetarian, and I'm sure as long as they're not deep fried they'd also fit into a healthy diet. Anybody know more about it? It tastes great too, specially with some hummus for dipping.
