Yes, and who financed that very war? The Rothschilds, Rockefellers, Morgans and Goldmans.

Although that was a very different time. US and A can't do squat today, even if they tried to roughen up China, the Chinamen would just vomit forth their entire American bond hold and dollar currency locked in portfolios on the market, basically crashing the entire US economy (and probably the world as a consequence).
Also, with great leader Putin on their side, China wouldn't easily be bullied into submission through threats of physical violence either.

China does not have millions of bums and layabouts who dont want to work, everybody has to contribute.  They also have a large intellectual stock that is educated worldwide, as well as aggressive corporate espionage schemes that keep them at the forefront of technological developments.
