BTW, I don't want to give the impression I'm some kind of McDs junkie. It's not my first choice. It just wins out mostly because it's convenient. I only go there twice a week when I go to the gym because it's right there. I can get in a quick meal post workout and then I'm refueled to run some errands. And, most importantly, I can take full advantage of the 30 minute anabolic window. If I run my errands and then go home and cook you're talking maybe two hours post workout. I'm sure we can all agree that at that stage I am in a dangerously catabolic state.
Anyway, I'm mostly a plate lunch guy and that's what I go for on the other days -- like today.
Chicken Katsu, rice, sliced cucumbers, potatoes and bbq sauce. Dead food at it's best.
