First off, divorce papers were filed and unless you are sitting there beside them in the court room you don't know who is going to get what, or who even asked for what.  Everything is all hearsay.

Secondly, unless you were living in their house with them, you don't know what either one of them were going through that brought them to the point of divorce after so many years.
