Some (many, I would guess) people pick and choose their sins.  Especially so when it suits their taste(s).  I have no clue about Nasser.  He was a fool to remain on drugs (painfully obvious) in a vainglorious attempt to stay huge.  From all appearances he paid for his ego with his early death.

Whatever he did, he chose to do.  Unless it involved something against the laws of the United States as far as I am concerned it is dead and buried with him.   If there is a final judgment, it will be resurrected with him.  If not, again, let it remain buried with him and he at peace.

He was a good man with a heart of gold who would take the only shirt off his back to keep you from getting wet outside if you didn't have an umbrella. He drove hundreds of miles to pick people up from remote locations who came to his part of California. Took people to the airport and back, no questions asked. Didn't get the respect he deserved from his money-grubbing girlfriends or in bodybuilding, which hated Arabs (and still does).

Nasser was no different than Ronnie or Jay, he was big most of his life and couldn't live with being an average guy in the room. But that just showed how dedicated he was to BBing. For him, it wasn't about money. It was his life.

I used to post at Muscle Mayhem back in the day with the same SN,I remember a lot of the old crew most out of contact now.I was fortunate enough to be able to converse with a lot of American pros at the time and Nasser used to leave me in awe when I first started training and buying Flex.

Laura Creaville used to call him Nasser Awesome Body

In early 2000 in one of T-Mag's Deadpool articles they referred to one of thier deadpool qualifiers as "Nasser I Usta Be Somebody"

When nasser made it big in late 95 / early 96, it would be the first time i had heard of his crazy slin protocols

Up until that time i had never heard of such slin usage

That being the case, Nassar should fire his fashion consultant.

some very accurate insights there

Nasser was a great man, not only great in what he achieved in his life and in BB but because of the type of person he was- kind, generous, wise, humble, and a wonderful true friend who would never fail to go above and beyond to help a friend.

the legend lives on

Just a shame like Ronnie post bodybuilding they couldn't just let the size go and just train, eat and be healthy instead of basically killing themselves by continuing to do what was no longer required.

I always like Nasser- seemed to be a cool guy from all accounts. But he always looked like a fat guy in street clothes or a suit. Nothing like Reg Park or Steve Reeves. Yeah, I know, different era, etc, etc.
