I tried hitting with a wooden bat. Couldn't do it. One of my teammates had this huge bat from Chicago that must have been about 40+ oz.

Apparently, Babe used a 48-oz. bat. Pfft. I used one a few years ago - my hands are still ringing.

I've heard about those in NJ. Is the ball called a kapoc?

I played in Chicago once with the 16 inch ball they use and no gloves. Now that sucked.

I tried using heavy bats, but I guess I'm not man enough to hit very well with them.

Haha! practice was in 15-20mph winds going out...had a few balls I thought were easy catches go over my head

lol me too! I just bought two more black pairs today. I leave them down, but pull the right one up to the knee when I'm batting.

Probably sipping some spiked punch on the bench, in that case you got got to hit a home run only way to score.

whenever i go to the batting cages i always mess around in the slow pitch softball one.

Its like the easiest one to hit man!

Got our first win Fri night.much better at the plate- 4 for 4.

....2 singles and 2 triples...thats alot of running
