Here is the funny story on this. My wife saw a segment about Podnah's Pit on the Food Network show, 'Diners, Drive-ins and Dives' a year or so ago. She has been bugging me to take her there ever since. So finally we go and guess what? She thought the food was too spicy and she hardly ate her meal. I thought it was great. The place is loud and happening. The prices are good. It is a very Portland style restaurant which could be featured on Portlandia judging from the servers and the clientele.

It is a bit of a drive from West Linn though. I'd go back, but I will have to find someone else to go with me.

I'm always fascinated by the marketing skills in the US. I admire the dedication and persuasion. "We" (Europeans) can learn from this, but its prob not in our genes.

I commented on the way home that we sometimes spend more then that at the store buying food to make for dinner. Podnah's isn't a high end restaurant. It is just a place with good barbecue and some interesting menu choices.

Right now I'm staying around 260lbd 265lbs, tryin to get leaner and maintain muscle size, I have noticed a huge difference, my muscles have stayed my weight and bf have gone down.  I plan to be 270 jacked 3 months before the show, then take it down to 245 for day of show!

The thing you are most behind on your quest is your mindset.  It's still off.

If you must obsess over weight, here is a smarter strategy:

Get to 245 in next month or so and then have bodyfat measured. 

Prove that your goals are realistic.

Went out to dinner tonight and stuffed my face with great food; barbequed brisket, corn bread, barbecued beans, grits with cheese and onions, a large mixed drink, banana pudding and a cup of coffee with cream. Came home, weighed myself and I'd gained 5 lbs. It will be gone by tomorrow morning. Drinking a big glass of water right now.

Note: this is not a normal meal for me. It was date night with my wife.

Good stuff! Good BBQ is worth the drive/$. Reminds me that Wes and I still need to hit the Dinosaur Grill for a good over-eating.

so a lean weight of 196lb

you are now going to get to 250 at 10%

so 225 lean weight.


so you will carry 25 lb fat

whereas before you carried 84lb

so in 12 months you will lose 59 lbs of fat while gaining 30 lbs of muscle.

Hmm. The cswol 'After'/260lb pic looks exactly like Mike Arvilla's 'Before' pic. If memory serves, Mike ended up at 198lbs. That was contest weight, mind you, but still it's a reality check.
