Book 2
To keep me from using google, because getbig is the only site I keep open permanently on my phone, what are these books about?
Fall of Giants is a historical novel by Welsh-born author Ken Follett. It is the first in the Century Trilogy, and follows five interrelated families throughout the course of the 20th century between 1911 and 1924. The first book covers notable events such as World War I, the Russian Revolution, and the struggle for women's suffrage.[1] According to Follett the next two sequels will cover World War II and the Cold War.I wonder if Russia was really as fucked up as it's portrayed in these books.
Sounds awesome. I just read a book, called "To End All Wars" about WWI, and in it, it gives a great back story about the three topics you brought up. I did not realize how close to communism/socialism Britain was. Guys like Kier Hardy and his wife who was into women's suffrage, with all the hunger strikes and what not. I will definitely pick these up as soon as I finish my next book. Thanks.
started reading it... pretty good through 50 pages
