Anyone reading this?

Ken Follet is a genius, Pillars of the Earth and World without End  are two of my favorites.

The Century Trilogy is killer so far, can't wait to read the other two.

You want a real writer?

Try Jack Vance.

Demon Princes, Tales of the Dying earth, Araminta Station etc.

Way beyond this fag folly

Book 2

This book is phenfuckinomenal.

Ken Follet is definitely an angry liberal, but the storyline makes up for it.

Makes you feel what different people from several countries felt through all these major events.

Fall of Giants is a historical novel by Welsh-born author Ken Follett. It is the first in the Century Trilogy, and follows five interrelated families throughout the course of the 20th century between 1911 and 1924. The first book covers notable events such as World War I, the Russian Revolution, and the struggle for women's suffrage.[1] According to Follett the next two sequels will cover World War II and the Cold War.

I wonder if Russia was really as fucked up as it's portrayed in these books.

Sounds awesome.  I just read a book, called "To End All Wars" about WWI, and in it, it gives a great back story about the three topics you brought up.  I did not realize how close to communism/socialism Britain was.  Guys like Kier Hardy and his wife who was into women's suffrage, with all the hunger strikes and what not.  I will definitely pick these up as soon as I finish my next book.  Thanks.

I wasn't really aware either!

One of the Characters in the book just ended up in a concentration camp, scary stuff.

End of Book 2 pissed me off, Ken Follett is a douche.

With people like his wife in power, I can see why Britain is being invaded and destroyed.  ::)
