It's a way these rich types try to wash away the guilt. Why bother adopting parentless kids in the US, doesn't seem as gratifying as adopting an african child. They walk around with the child like they would a pet. Dressing it, feeding it, taking it on walks so it can poop and pee but they will truly not have the same bond as they would their own true flesh and blood.
