At 6ft 3in he dwarfs his colleagues and admits his tough looking image helps him enforce the STRONG ARM of the law.
"I do get a lot of people saying they would not want to mess with me," said Gary, from Leighton Buzzard, Beds.
Bodybuilder
"Occasionally idiots want to try it on and prove their point, but usually I find having the size and physical presence does help to calm down situations.
"Because I'm working the same area day after day I've really built up a rapport with people."
In just one year, the powerful Peeler has helped to arrest more than 100 trouble-makers. He was previously a power lifter who competed for the Met, but he switched to bodybuilding six years ago after tearing a ligament in his knees.
Last month he won the regional heat of the over-40s bodybuilding competition as part of the nationwide Stars of Tomorrow event.
The father-of-three is now training for the UK Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation finals next October.
