Castro set the tone for pan-american distrust of the US. His efforts to provide for the common good, while implemented with mixed results, were nonetheless noble.

Fido Castro was a truly great man who only had the best intentions and love for the people of Cuba. He raised them up to an unbelievable standard of living, giving them perhaps the wealthiest lifestyle in the western world. He was a great humanitarian who spread the goodness of communism and socialism to the poor people of central and south America. He was a hero to the people of Venezuela and helped them attain the fantastic standard of living they now enjoy. We are blessed that we had him as long as we did.
