Phil Heath's Arms: Officially too big?

Geez... I remember when Shawn Ray scaled back his quads so they would get smaller to keep his physique in balance.  I remember Ronnie saying he barely trained arms- just a few sets - to keep them in check.  Branch did the same with his legs to let everything else catch up.

Is Phil Heath at that point yet?

The width of one arm is equal to the width of his chest  . I dunno if that's a compliment to his freaky arms or just a pointer to how narrow his chest is...

When he was on sportsnation it was just crazy to me how popped out his delts were as well as the size of his arms.  When he's standing relaxed like a normal person his arms just hang off of him like those big slabs of beef in a meat cooler on the hooks.  His shoulders and arms are both making his chest look smaller than it is when he does his mm.  Still my favorite though.  I hope he wins this year.  The thought of grapefuit boy winning is just not cool with me.  Even if he is the best on stage he should be penalized

He has absolutely awful chest insertions paired with huge arm genetics, really strange structure.

And yes, he should have cut back on the arm traiing/synthol.

Its true in the off season for phil his arms take away from the rest of the body. But somehow when in condition his seperation and deep lines keep him in check.   But i cn see its going to be a problem if he doesnt scale it back.   Definitly the biggest muscular arms in current ifbb.

Yes.  It's nice when one body part responds well to training.  That's fine if all you want to do is show off to your friends... but if you want to compete as a pro you need a balanced physique.  This is not it.

his chest isnt 'terrible', its completely maxed out. its not like he just doesnt train it or something, its just that his structure is very narrow and his pectoral muscle bellies-though full- dont take up much space. his chest could not be any more developed really-its just he is so damn narrow.

His pecs are really thick, but narrow. He looks horrible in the most muscular, but IMO also the front double biceps. It's weird, because he has good lats, but he's still narrow.
