So we had Synergy (white)/ Stealth and an end loaded Synergy (green).    26-29 oz.

I used the balanced Synergy, 27 oz,  and it was insane.  I hit 4 out last year all season.  Last night hit 3 in my first four AB, although one was called foul (over foul pole, but close) and one was right after we had reached our limit so it was an out.  I'm not an HR hitter - more line drives and placement, with the occasional bomb.  Granted, there was a straight wind to CF and it was chilly, but these bats seemed really good.

All of the line drives in the OF were knuckling back and forth, nothing felt routine.   I played about 10 feet in front of the fence, out of sheer concern for my own well being.

Sounds like some drug testing is in order!

lol.  Yeah there's some guys in that league that wouldn't pass, I can assure you.

It was more a case of really good conditions.  What also helps me is I have 6-15 arc on Sun mornings, followed by 3-10 the next day in that league.   So much easier to hit.

Played in the rain last night against a TERRIBLE team.
we won 35-5 and it was called after 3 innings.
the ump said to one of our guys..."Can you please hit two foul balls so we can get the fuck out of here!"

Left work at 4 so I could get to the six o'clock double header.   Turns out my dumb ass didn't look at the schedule and we had the 8 o'clock games.    Hung around for almost two hours, then the rain started pouring at quarter of 8 and we got cancelled.

Nope, it's a big problem, which is why our league provides bats now.

Bats were being "shaved" to make the walls thinner, or illegal bats were getting 300 paint jobs to make them appear legal.

On a thread positive note, we won our first game yesterday. Not gonna be a contender this year - too many new players - but I can see it being a fun season. Obviously, one for personal stats.

My industrial league has old guys who keep stats and got someone to launch a website.   It actually calcs OBP/OPS/SLG etc.....   You can click on a name and it shows you a breakdown by game for any player.   Completely unexpected and very cool.

Of course, now that this is out there, it will now lead to irrational agitation when a line drive that nicks the second baseman's outstetched glove is ruled an error, or when two of your doubles get put in as singles.   Just speculating what might happen, of course.

Last game: man on 2nd. our (good) short, makes a soft stop, looks back the guy at 2nd, rifles it to me at 1st (don't ask), there's an easy out; the guy at second then decides he's gonna go, I throw to third...I'm there by 10'; the 3rd muffs it at the feet and is turning circles looking everywhere for it, and we all just turn back to our posts in resignation. That's gonna be our season.
