I start the betting threads because I run the betting threads. I like to start them in good time to kinda "promote" the upcoming fight, get people to know about it, start to discuss it. Most of the time people don't bet that quick on it, they want it to sink in a little, maybe they're waiting to make sure their will be no last minute changes to the card or there's a couple of fights they are undecided on that they feel could go either way.

I'm not talking about other people, I'm talking about you.  How would you putting your picks in before other people hurt the "promotion" of the upcoming fights?  You can still talk about it, and discuss it after putting your picks in and if changes to the card happen people change their bet (i.e. Belcher/Almieda).  If you think you are so good at betting why don't you pick your fights when you post your thread?  I know why, because you wait it out to copy other people bets so you don't totally humiliate yourself.  You are reading other peoples calls, just like the New England Patriots.  You should be roasted like the fat staypuff marshmellow that you are.

Stats shows I don't. And I don't post my bets 2 weeks before a show. Most don't and I've explained why. I'm no different.

That would be cool, we need more people betting too. Thursdays card was a pretty awesome card for free, I am surprised more people didn't bet. I am getting into EliteXC too, but I don't know how much people who don't have Showtime give a shit about those fights.

Ron would have to agree. Mindspin is a mod here and he already promised black stars to Honour for winning the Getbig, and he never got those. And I think turning stars black is easier for Ron to do than making gloves, but I am not sure about that. It would be cool if one of the mods tried to make it happen though.
