As a lot of you know (or not) I fell off a roof 3 years ago and got highly fvcked up. Especially my right shoulder. I landed on it and basically exploded it. Long story short I went up to 225 on Barbell BNP tonight and got 6 clean with NO PAIN OR CLICKING. Probably doesn't mean dick to y'all but I'm fvcking ecstatic right now.

I actually thought I was strong when I got 205 for one(no injuries) until TA told me he did 110's for 10. I need to get stronger :-\

If you did 205 for a single you can probably do more weight than that in Dumbell form. For some reason Miltary press is the only exercise (for me anyways) that can I go heavier with DB's.

have you tried them to the front? I stopped doing them behind the neck, and my shoulders feel so much better....good weight by the way.

No, I am horrible at db's. I have a hard time just loading anything over 90's, even on the flat bench. Weak BI's I guess.

Goink- you should stop doing behind the neck presses. they will kill your shoulders. especially if you have already injured them.

Yeah I do 'em to the front too SS, but It's been a point of mine to get my weight back up to pre injury in the BNP specifically because that was what got affected the most, kind of my way of feeling all the way back. I know you have to make concessions and accept the injury but I'm slightly nuts so that doesn't sit too well ;D

I also did a lot of heavy BNP back in the days...after I fucked up my right shoulder, I switched to military presses, which seemed much more confortable...today if I wanna do BNP, I will leave it the last exercise for shoulders...it's true u won't go as heavy as if u would have started with it but it will toast your shoulders...by the way, good weight especially after coming from a bad injury...

I had the same problem with the clicking few years back. Started pounding the condrointen\glucosamine and it went away.

I was in Physical therapy doing all sorts of ROM work. I also shattered my left knee and wrist in the fall, So i fucking LIVED at PT for a year and a half. IT SUCKED.
That's actually the time I started posting on these boards. I had absolutely nothing better to do. I had a cast on my left arm, my right arm was in a sling and I had to use crutches. I looked like Popeye after Bluto beats the shit out of him.

A friend had clicking for a while that lead to pain. It was a slight rotator tear, and he had to go uner the knife.
I worry about this now, so i just go easy on the shoulder presses...i used to work up to 110s on my final set for 4-6...no more, ill do more reps, and just go 70-80-90-100. every set max reps..

Apparently bee-pollen does the trick, VVV said he once used it to fix a busted-up shoulder(he was watching an inpirational "training" dvd, and in his enthusiasm, popped the shoulder).
