He doesn't really look any more amazing than he did earlier on this year (which is good but he's unbalanced).
Still, hard to tell. Presumably those are pumped pics. He might be able to explain whether he's made some improvements. His shoulders are monster.
Edit: Well I only saw 3 pics and they were the worst of the group. Looks awesome but as far as I remember he looked awesome a while back too.

He just doesn't have the balance (mainly poorly shaped bis and tris) to make it on structure alone, he needs to come in shredded if he ever wants to make a top 3 and he just hasn't seemed to nail his conditoning in recent shows.

I was speaking too Luke when i came to Sydney for the Australian titles a few weeks back. It was very evident that his chest has come up alot! his arms, still need more and legs are always huge. But its his delts and back now that are just STUPID! i believe his back and delts can stand next to anyone in the world and look on par!! his back is like YATES! i think his delts and back really over power his arms though. His arms are not small, his forearms are huge but his delts out weight his bi's and tri's.
Luke said he is doing the Ironman early next year.

There's no doubts that he has no problem with his delts being too small, they're just stuffing with the balance of his physique. They knock out the size of his chest which may be getting better as you say.
I agree that his biceps shape is unfortunate.

Its not that I disagree, its just you comments sound biased.
Its easy for me to be positive about Luke Wood and Lee Priest because they're australian but this board is all about being real and me being real is that Luke is a freak and his shape doesn't flow enough to be hanging with the best (YET). Luke himself wouldn't claim that though, the guy is a champ on here when he posts.

Thats pretty damn lean for 280lbs. Even more impressive is that this is off season. Luke has plenty of size. As stated above, he needs to nail his conditioning to move up more in the placings. I think you'll see him in the top 10 for sure this yr. Sure arms could be brought up more but almost every BBer has a region to improve. Major improvements to his chest in the last yr which makes more balance to his large delts.

I hate to say it, but the way he is put together - I don't think he will ever crack the top tier. Even if you added another 15 pounds in all the right places, his build just isn't what it takes. Odd structure and inserts.

He'll overdiet to 245, try to carb up too much, overdo the diuretics, and end up flat and washed over again.

I'm sure Luke is a great guy, but I'm tired of seeing him go out and disappoint Milos. Milos is old, and his ticker can't take the kind of constant disappointment that Luke brings with each show.

I disagree with Dorian , but both Luke and Dennis look great in the photos they show pre contest as they never show you the poses that cost them their lower placings both Dennis and Luke are top 10 in any delt pose they are massive, but front double bis and front lat spread, they start slipping down the order, sadly in the pros your placings come from your weak points not strengths and both have problems with these poses, or basically any time they put their arms above their heads hence why we never see them do those shots when showing improvments, you cannot rate ones potential on a few chosen poses, but need to see all the mandatories to access ones potential, many props to Luke though hes brought his chest up and his arms are well, hes doing the best he can, but both have to keep control of their waist as they get bigger, personally i think DJ is on his way down as hes played the mass game to much and as hes got bigger he hasnt improved his weakpoints and his strengths have become more obvious and hes lost overall flow and this year he wont place high, if luke can improve his front two poses he will start to move up the ladder but if he cant hell struggle

I think Luke should enter a contest looking like he does above and forget about cutting up. Heck, I would rather leave an impression of being huge than just being another guy on stage who missed something or other.

Yeah and sometimes less. Problem is with Luke he seems to lose more conditioning the more he tries to get. Ends up looking flat and small which for Luke's structure flaws not a good thing. Looks much bigger, better at a higher weight.
Sorry Vince Darrem Charles is in a different league. But Luke time will come when he can place top 5 in a pro show.

good call Bigkahuna. But with 20 something million people, there isnt a market for pro BB. IF you want to make money the US is where its at..However with sports like golf, tennis, swimming, rugby/ AFL... thats where the money is with Aussie sport ;)

The juice ages you - especially in the face (where it counts). Look at Like, Dorian, or even 22 year old Flex. If you juice, get ready to look older than you are.
I am only months younger than Luke - but look much younger. I am not 280+ pounds, but I'm perfectly ok with that... :D

You need some more medication there grandpa, Luke is good, hell you have to be good to make it to that level but to compare him to Charles in the way you have is nothing short of ludacris, I am not a big Charles fan myself but just look at the mans career and it speaks for itself.

I will never sacifice health!!! i love bodybuilding with a passion but there is life after as well. Marrige, kids, the big house and getting old that is very important also. I think i will have enough size next year to qualify. I mean 265lbs at 5'11 will not need more size just exposure!

ronnie and cutler are the king of the front double bis but their lats are the key to their dominance in this pose...
Luke doesn't perform the front double bicep very well but his main problem is his high lat insertion...

Chris is doing it the traditional arnold way (semi vacuum) and Dex is doing it with his abs flexed down...
Now Dex has great abs but he is really doing himself no favours here by doing this pose the way he does.
By flexing his abs down and NOT lifting the ribcage up his makes his lats and torso size smaller than he should - the front double bui is really an arm and lat pose first and foremost not an ab pose and his method lets his lats down a lot...
He should realize that even if he did a semi vac he is so lean that the outline of his abs would still be highly visible and that the judges aren't really too stressed if they don't see a full ab flex in this pose...
Here are a couple of good examples even though the chickster ain't in great shape here he does it very well...

I dont know how you guys could be anywhere near that.... Yeah, I understand its just going to go up from the added mass and all, but well what the hell, you probably cant even get an accurate reading with the size of the arms!

Ok. Dexter has such an awsome physique and seems to be able to peak for everyshow. He is very consistant and very confident. A truly beautiful physique. Chris fails to be as consistant. Chris has and still does have a tremedous physique! But does'nt come in the 100% like he should sometimes or has the potential too!! But i will say when Chris is at his best he is in my eyes MR OLYMPIA!!! when Chris is on, he is flawless!!!!

I have competed against Chris in the 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004 Australian Grand Prix's. Chris won 3 of them and placed second to Dexter at one of them. I competed against Dexter at the 2001, 2002 and 2004 Australian Grand Prix's. The size and shape Chris brought in 2001 was just awsome. Dexter however in 2004 looked amazing!!!

forearms could use some light, high rep close grip reverse curls with the straight bar also with the elbows held in front of the hips...

Luke the Ironman is before the Aussie show right? You should do the Ironman even if you aren't fully dieted down cause you would still look huge and in the Ironman lighting you would look insane. Plus you could use it as a warmup and get some hype behind you before the Aussie show. Just a suggestion :)

I will be in super contest shape for the Ironman as well. I have never done this show and i want to peak for this as well. Yes the lighting is incredible i have heard so yes i will be bring a very full but very hard phyique there. I will be about 264 at the Ironman. I respect your suggestion! thankyou!!!
