He lost because of that stupid Moses costume and him giving credit to Jesus...Everyone knows the IFBB worships Satan.

come on don't show pictures comparing a 99 ronnie to jay, we all know it is not even close, the reason for ronnie losing this year is becuse he is terrible, sois jay, they had a chance to go another way with martienz or someone else but next year when phil heath comes in things will change

We may never see (or at least not for a really long time) a physique that compares to '99 Olympia OR '01 Arnold Classic Ronnie.

Those versions of Mr. Coleman were inhuman.

Let's not deny it - Ronnie has won in similar circumstances before and this was not his worst performance since 1998.  I think if they gave it to Ronnie this year, Ronnie would think he can just keep coming back and winning indefinitely.  So by having him lose, Ronnie gets the clue he is beatable and comes back one last time for #9 and then hangs it up - rather than continuing on until he is 50.

I like that explanation.  I can see it being a bit true.

very true.

Ronnie did not look good in 2006 at the O. but looked much improved at one of the grand prix shows (can't remember which one, but he should have beat Jay at it)

jay would so easily dwarf ronnie from 99.

ronnie has more striations and detail, but jay is so much bigger.

i'm not necessarily saying jay would win, but it would be close.

Hulkster!!! lets post unfair pictures from different time periods to try to prove a point!!! Forget posting pictures from the actual contest that clearly show Jay beating Ronnie!!!

I will post the two shots that tell it all. Equal lighting, exact same point in the pose. Both flexing. Jay wins. Better condition, better back, Better sweep, better leg detail front and back, stirated abs, stirated quads, better calves etc etc. Sorry guys aint gonna change  :D

Sure, Ronnie was off, but he has been before.  My point was that he has won before under identical conditions.  In fact, in 2002 he was even more off and still won.

he wasn't as off condition wise in 2002 ( nice gut )

I would consider it an overall worse performance despite his conditioning being better - and he still won.

Ronnie was 257 in 99.

How big was Jay in 2006?

THE FIRST PIC CLEARLY SHOWS RONNIE TORN FROM EVERYWHERE...HOLY SHIT :o

Why are you acting like you have never seen that pic before?  body88 posted it every 5 seconds on the dot after that show and you participated in almost every thread it was in.

You are clearly a massive retard.  I gave you the benefit of the doubt before but you really are the shittest thing this board has seen for ages.

Normally I can see humour in anyone but your posts are simply painful to read.

You guys are too good. "he lost so that they can transition the title over to Phil Heath." LOL Granted, Heath will win someday if he comes in at his best, which he will, but I don't see why everything has to be a conspiracy.

Naa its not a conspiracy..Jay just came in better conditioned then Big Ron and they finally rewarded him for it(Like they should have in 2001)...Although bodybuilding is changing slowly and going back to guys with better structure rather than massively huge and dried out...So, Jay should just bask in it while he has it...It can be taken away by several guys under him if they get their conditioning down...

Matt, don't bother trying to reason logically with ND.

Its a lost cause.
