I dont know i might just be easily impressed.
But the form this guy maintains for 12 reps...is just amazing. he probably could have done another 5
his max is probably around 600-700lbs

that is decent but I could do the same thing. I do 12 perfect ones with 225.

You should be a good bencher, since you have narrow shoulders.
The long arms and flat chest are drawbacks, but the narrow build more than makes up for that IMO. If you bulks up another 100 lbs of flab and muscle, I'm sure you will be doing 405 lbs for reps in no time.

true...levrone is a good example of a narrow (in terms of clavicals of course) guy who was a massive bencher

kid you aren't even close. 225 for 12 is pretty decent for a natural (more so since you're lean), but it's light years away from 4 wheels for the same reps.

everyone thinks drugs make you freak..they don't. you still have to work hard. this guy worked hard drugs or not. it was a good lift.

there's something kind of fishy about this clip, i'm not saying it's not legit but 405 doesn't move that fast for anyone, even Ryan Kennely or Glen Chabot, if it's real this guy is easily one of the strongest benchers who ever lived.
kennelly and those guys can get 405 for 20 or more, and i guarantee the first five go that fast.

Nice reps. I think his max raw single would be in the highs 4's or very low 5's at the most. Still an excellent bench press.

I thought I was a strong bencher when I did 315 for 12 just like this guy did for 3 sets. We had a guy at our gym (this was some 12 years ago) do what this guy just did, he slapped the 405's up and down for 8 0r so with ease, then his 2 partners put another 45 plate on each side before he racked it and he banged out 3 reps. I was in awe, but this guy dwarfed me in sheer muscle mass. He was a big dude and I am not talked juice big. He probably was on juice but you could tell that he did not need to be.

and then while hes still on the bench his partners put on two more plates and he does three more reps.
hahaha...dont know how legit that is...but doing 495x3 right after doing 405x8 seems pretty unlikely...but ill take your word for it

Went over this before 405 won't bend the bar much if at all with the hands wide. Also could have been a really good bar.

exactly, 405 won't bend any quality 7 foot Olympic bar, if that little amount of weight is bending a bar it's made very poorly.

the reason I mentioned what I could do was to prove a point. I thought (at the time) that I was really strong at this lift.............until this guy came in and did what he did.
Again, I saw what I saw. I have no reason to make any of this up.

Sweden. Magnus was nursing a lower back injury and benched with his feet crossed in the air. He thought he could possibly do 660lbs next year. Today he wasn't that impressive IMO.
