As far as Melvin goes, good for you (money wise) but your a comercial whore as anybody else who signed up for Muscletech, their product are worthless and you know it.

I think all parties know it at this point. Phil Heath will be a great champ one day, but he's what, 26? 25? Plenty of time to get those legs caught up to those crazy arms, and straighten out the elavicle deal. He'll win his, barring injury or another young unstoppable guy.

I never said anything about any other company, but we all know what Muscletech is really all about and how SERIOUSLY crao their products really are.
What I mean with that is that if you have to also morally decide were you want to work, just because I work for a company that kills and cooks small children (even if I don't work in the slaughterhouse but in accounting) makes it not alright.

I was at 2 here and I laughed my ass of at both, at one they gave away plastic bags with 3 flyers, 1 Protein Bar, 1 Carb Bar and 1 small bottle of Protein Powder.

In all fairness, he really doesn't "work" for the company as an employee. He is contracted as a spokesperson. And since we all know he didn't build his body on the things he is pitching - he catches some crap for it.
I personally don't hold it against him signing for as much money as possible, but it does disgust me whne I see ads focused on newbies that will waste their entire paychecks on MT snake oil.

I take it you work for MT? Let's face it, MT was started with Hydroxycut. A sup "invented" a 20 yo with a high school education. How many products would you put in your body based on that educational background? Now, they are as close to false advertising as you can get with their ad reports. This is one of the reasons the government wants to more closely regulate the sup industry. Not cool.

Their ads were more out of line years ago but I think they got sued so many times so they had to have lawyers carefully word every single sentence in their ads.
Still...the 'Before/After' shots...using sex and blondes at the beach and claims of benching more than your friends, putting on 10lbs of MASS in 2 weeks. Mass by legal definition can mean FAT.

Or, take it further and do your research - then show them a chart depicting their recent slide since signing with brand X. Ask them to explain why they are actually placing and looking WORSE since starting brand X. Wait quietly as they mutter and attempt to invent reasons while on camera.
Then of course, youtube it so we can all have a laugh!

My only beef w/ muscletech is I dont like them cramming all these pros down everyones throat, to make the newbies believe they will look like that if they use their products. That, and maybe the once or twice a year that I buy a magazine, and 1/4 of the pages in it are MT ads.

No, the problem is that there are a few that really try to put out good quality stuff - but the MT ad report budget is too much and drowns out their ads. There are too many bad apples to try to find the one good one in there...

Many companies approached Phil before he turned pro and after he won his two pro shows. Phil is very happy with MetRx and yes, he uses their products. Look for their new ads featuring Phil in the mags now.
I hope Muscle Tech finds a way to use Melvin in a more creative and effective way then just inserting his image in the same ads they've been doing with Cormier, Henry, Cutler, Charles, Dillett, etc.

Congratulations on the Muscletech contract - they are a good company, and their product sell quite a bit worldwide, so they can give you a lot of exposure. Besides, a top 5 ranked pro bodybuilding athlete deserves all the success that you will get. Although I expect to see you at the Ironman Pro cheering your fellow competitors as they strive to compete against you and get a top five qualifier for the 2007 Mr. Olympia!
