OK, don't claw out my eyes here. I just want the real low down on how you gals train because as I see it you females have low test and a bunch of estrogen which isn't good for building muscle and me being a male I have high test and low estrogen which is better for building muscle, therefore if you gals can get huge and jacked like some of you are I must be able to do that X fold over. Plus I wanted to hopefully answer some theories on training and weight/rep relationships that I have had. So here is the questions?
1. How big are you weight/bf% ? ....I know never supposed to ask a girl that but since I'm hiding behind a computer I think I will be safe
2. What supplements do you take (if any and be honest) ?
3. What exercises do you do...or which do you think had the most significant effect on your physique?
4. How much weight and reps do you do?
5. How long did it take you to achieve everything so far?

I'm not going to claw your eyes out but I won't/cant answer a couple of your questions due to confidentiality agreements with my trainers. I can tell you I train hard 6 days a week, pushing as much weight as alot of the guys. My bench is 225 for reps, squats are 315 for reps...As for supplements, can't answer, but I don't shop at GNC, I have been training for 7 years and am a National level for bodybuilding and a pro powerlifter. What affects my physique the most? My diet, my intensity and major mover lifts.
Remember, failure is not an option, that's how I've gotten to where I am.

Could you tell me how many sets you do for example on flat bench or squat and the increments you raise it each set?

usually 4 sets with the reps being 12,12, 10,8, and increase the weight each set. Last 2 in the set are usually a struggle and sometimes are forced reps. Warm up with 135 and go up from there on bench and squat.That's only for major movers, don't train small muscles like that...don't want to rip a bicep or tricep.

I eat, train, sleep (lots of sleep) and structure is a primary thing for me. I am only 65kgs off season and compete at 54kg (figure) but I lift heavy weights and eat clean. I think I am consistent and love the sport!!

To a point but you need to stress the muscle for it to grow so natually heavy weights is better IMO. Having said that anything is better than nothing, you know on those days you just "cant" lift heavy!!!

No. It may be good for a pump to START lifting, but not the way to build mass. It is also good for cutting in the final weeks before a show...

good for strengthening tendons. good for muscular endurance and for making sure all the muscle fibers are shooting...mentally challenging if you do it right.

as far as I know it does slow down growth, and so I don't drink..plus the empty calories.

Alcohol is couterproductive to muscle growth. My trainer makes me quit alcohol consumption 5 months out from a show. I'm only allowed a vodka cranberry once in a while. There are alot of empty calories in wine, beer, etc...

Ok thanks for that I will give up my wine then. My show is in November so I have a little bit of time but dont want to leave anything to chance.

Alcohol seems to be highly counterproductive to bodybuilding and fitness goals. Alcohol is suppose to slightly supress your testosterone for a day or two, plus if you arn't watching your water the dehydration will be highly catabolic. I know that I never feel like 100% after drinking.

These article talks more indepth on all the effects that occur from drinking, a drink now and then never hurt anyone in my opinion just wouldn't touch the stuff if your training for a show or taking any other substances that stress your liver. Drink hard alcohol too, less calories, quicker buzz and not these girly drinks loaded with sugar :P.

These article talks more indepth on all the effects that occur from drinking, a drink now and then never hurt anyone in my opinion just wouldn't touch the stuff if your training for a show or taking any other substances that stress your liver. Drink hard alcohol too, less calories, quicker buzz and not these girly drinks loaded with sugar :P.
I drink red oor white wine normally, and if I drink before a show I do tend to add the cals and substitute for food. I know it is not good and I will definately look into it. Thanks for posting those links for me I will read later on.
