Title: How much are 1 Cup of Oatmeal in grams...roughly?

We here in Ireland don't have cups, so if anybody could tell me how much 1 cup of Oatmeal is in grams? Roughly...

It's around 90 grams but it also depends on what kind of oats you are using I use rolled oats.  Steelcut are probably heavier I would guess.

Roughly 40 grams uncooked depending on the oat form (rolled, steel cut, whole)

Yes.

Generally speaking, when you see things online (diets, nutritional info, etc.) the information is based on UNCOOKED due to cooking variations, however, around here, the guys usually measure things after cooking.

yeah i never got why guys on here say 1 cup rice when actually they are saying cooked , back in april i added 3 cups of rice to my diet (uncooked) and couldnt figure out the rapid fat gain , got the uncooked/cooked info incorrect  :-X

How many carbs (in that meal) are you trying to get?

Why would you need to cook oats ???

I always have a cup uncooked from the tube from walmart....great 300 calories...just add a little hot water

Trying to get around 50-70g usually. I only eat them for breakfast and preworkout. I measure out 1 cup to 1 1/4 cups and add about 1.75 cups of water and microwave it for 1.5 mins and eat it.

Okay then.  You're fine.  That's about 55-70 grams of carbs.  It's also about 8-10 grams of fiber, which can be deducted, so you're actually getting a little less than you thought.
