Where are the weapons ? lol

Adonis, who do you think would make the best President of the United States?
-
The WMDs are located in a shoebox with the answers to the physics defied on 9/11.
After being delivered by santa and covered with pixie dust by the tooth fairy, it was shoved up the Easter bunny's ass for safe keeping.
-
who do you think would make the best President of the United States?
A non-drunk with a 100+ IQ would be a start.
-
Adonis, who do you think would make the best President of the United States?
General Wesly Clark.
Actually though, I would rather see a Scientist become president. Someone who would push technology to the extreme. Stephen Hawking would be great.
-
Bill Maher would be good as well. hahaha
-
Alex Jones.
-
Where are the weapons ? lol
Where's the Liberals plan? They voted too!

Bill Maher would issue an exucutive order legalizing marijuana.

Oh dear. Perhaps you should keep to feeding novices inaccurate fitness information on the gossip board. Your political advice is even less plausible.

hey, you can appreciate a good JDAMming. whatcha got against clark? too quick to employ diplomacy when there are bombs to be upgraded? ;)
-
what is sad is..
the republicans voted him ...no wait..lol..it ws fixed..we all know..

Not so much Clark, more Adonis ;). His scientist suggestion was laughable; somebody with an obvious liking to Saddam can't be taken seriously here. You would do yourself a great credit by distancing yourself from Adonis, Rob - you're better than that.

Is this thread about BUSH's approval rating or the democrats plan or lack there of?
WHat their plan is or will be is only an issue because of BUSH's incompetent handling of American lives and resources when he foolishly decided to invade Iraq.
Bush has created such a mess with Iraq there are no easy answers and to use the dems lack of a plan in their first few weeks in office shows how desperate some republicans are to shift attention from the mess their leadership created.
That's a large part of the reason for his approval rating. The country isn't made up of 64-70% liberal voters.
The only fools still supporting BUSH are the die hard drones.
True intelligent republicans know better.
-
Hello....anyone?
people don't talk to you about it because when valid points are made you are notorious for vanishing from the thread. I could easily dig up dozens of threads with unanswered posts. What's your excuse for this Intenseone? 10.143 per day, it can't be that fucking hard to finish what you start but Nooooooooooooooooo ::) Nobody bothers with you anymore, it's a fucking waste of time to type up a response to some dickhead who's going to pretend they didn't read it because they don't know how to answer it.

Standard neocon response to anything they don't want to answer about their own party:
"The damn liberals would have..."
Cause they don't want to address their own flaws. They'd rather point out what they imagine their enemies would have done in that situation.
Boss: "Johnson, this TPS report looks like shit!"
Neo: "It would have been even worse if you had let Nancy do it!"

In politics it is always relevant to question what the alternative party would have done after the fact. If this were not the case, the opposing party would never have grounds to argue that they would have done things differently when 'x' occurred, and therefore not be able to earn our trust and in turn, our vote.

A question was asked:
Where are the weapons ? lol
That question was quoted, and a response was given - but it didn't answer the question:
Where's the Liberals plan? They voted too!
Then, again not answering the question again, he tries it again, since no one bites his redirect:
Hello....anyone?
So in this case, BRUCE, the "what would the alternative party have done" question is irrelevant, as that answer had nothing to do with the question. It was another dodge, which we see often here, as people continue to try to defend the altruistic reasons for the war so they can sleep at night and still support that party. In reality, we all know Afghan/iraq is nothing but resource manegement. The honest people face this.

We've debated this WMD issue for around 5 years now. We went to war based on intelligence that was not 100% correct, yes I concede this is an error; no I don't concede it is a lie. Every reputable western nation's intelligence agency indicated Saddam had WMD, let me know if you find of one that didn't. The Dems would have surely acted on this same intelligence. The issue is over; we went to war, let's try and face that now. Therefore, with that in mind, I think it's absolutely relevant to ask what the Democrats would have done to face Saddam's evil regime.

Can you list them? I thought the UN Weapons inspectors (comprised of the nations of the world) were pretty unanimous in their findings of negative on the WMD?
I think it's absolutely relevant to ask what the Democrats would have done to face Saddam's evil regime.
They voted to endorse the President to use force. That doesn't answer it?

I'm not sure about your recollection of events, but I remember the UN trying for over a decade to come to some sort of agreement with Saddam whereby we could inspect his facilities. You may also not remember Saddam not exactly being the most inviting of hosts. Saddam said he had WMD capabilities. He gassed hundreds of his own citizens. There is no question he once had this capability, if not at the precise time of invasion. The UN wanted to inspect and see if this was fact. They were denied. The entire civilised world believed him. Getting clearer?
The UN then agreed Saddam didn’t have WMD after Baghdad had fallen - thus (they believed) exonerating their organisation of any liability for taking absolutely no action against this madman any earlier. You cannot see the UN was hoping like hell Saddam didn't have a nuclear weapon in his arsenal?
And as you have pointed out, the Democrats voted in favour of a Republican plan. We are asking for someone to identify a plan of their own, otherwise they will concede the Bush Administration acted responsibly.
-

Correct.

Saddam gassed the Kurds with weapons we gave him. And our state dept admits we gave them to him to "test", but we didn't know how he would do it.
Saddam allowed for inspections of all facilities. He put his foot down when the US demandded the searches involved his personal bedrooms and bathrooms for the world to see. He saw this as impractical (does anyone keep uranium in their toilet?), intrusive (would Dubya allow us to search his bathroom), humiliating to the world (the demands conveniently leaked), and dangerous (we would be able to ascertain exactly where to put a cruise missile to hit him in his bed two months later).
Saddam killed his own people. That is none of our f'king business.
And if you DO feel it was our business, please tell me when you'll be holding the next rally to invade Darfur, China, and many other nations for human rights abuses. I must have missed your previous one.

Oh Rob, you do yourself such a deep disservice with this post - and expose yourself as being more heartless than I gave you credit for. Your 'poor Saddam' defence is nothing short of despicable. Perhaps if America was planning on destroying the lives of its own citizens, attacking its neighbours, and destroying Israel I would accept your Bush analogy. Unfortunately I do not.
If you also believe it is not our business, as world citizens, to sit up and take note when a despot murders his own then you are a lost cause. Again, you completely ignore the good we have brought to Iraq, and focus on the negative.
Additionally, I believe in bringing justice to every corner of the world. You accuse me of double-standards but I think you will find it is yourself committing this crime. The US has worked harder and given more than any country to protect the single greatest civil right any one person can have – their right to life. Where is your appeal to nations like Germany, Russia, France or Canada for example to uphold this same level of pragmatism? I urge you to re-consider what you have written above.

Here's the deal. Either you are the world's cop, or you're not. Period.
The US is NOT the world's policeman. We will wear the badge and talk about helping out those in need, but we only put money and troops into regions where we can benefit.
If the US was sincere, we would be in Darfur.
UN: Over 400,000 people dead and 2 million refugees.
We're not. Because they don't have oil. We only perform policing activities when it benefits us.
You can debate the morality of it, but that's a waste of time. But facts are facts. We flew right over the bloodshed in Sudan to start a war in iraq.

Okay, you're obviously going to think oil is still the reason, despite my having completely debunked that theory already. The fact is the US is actually doing something about bringing democracy and a shot at peace to places in this sometimes crazy world. If you're going to attack a nation for not doing their bit, you've missed the target again.

Since when do we have to shoulder the responsibility of bringing democracy with the lives of 3000 kids, fathers and mothers?
The democracy card is old and worn.
Why didn't we use that card in darfur and probably a half dozen other places in the world?
Bush and company are war mongers for ever their motivations, they are not to spread democracy.
There was much to gain with a democratic iraq economically and strategically. (democracy allows our companies to profit)
We did not do this because we are captain save-a-ho

You completely debunked the theory we are in Iraq for oil? Where?
And if you choose to believe that we ignored the far greater Sudanese loss of life to save lives, that's fine. If you choose to believe we ignored the far greater WMD threat, that's fine.
I guess it's just a coincidence that the 2 nations we've invaded (and the third we're mobilizing against now) happen to contain the three oil reserves we've been eyeing for the last 15 years.
yep. Coincidence!

You’ve got three separate investigations plus the president of Russia,, British intelligence, U.S. intelligence, Russian intelligence, told the president there were weapons of mass destruction

Spin my ass, how much do you want to bet that I can dig of a whole lot of rebuttals you completely ignored. How much I? I'll take that bet. I didn't say 10.143 was a lot of posts, but it's enough that you don't have any reason to not be answering replies. out of everyone here, you are the most notorious for doing it. What do you want a plan for? There are no shortage of plans. Unfortunately there is more spin from the right that there are no plans. So you come here and regurgitate your fucking bullshit from Hannity and Rush, but don't think it's realty. It's not. ;) The onus is on you, name exactly what there is no plan for. I recommend you find something other than Iraq because it's pretty fucking apparent that Bush's plan isn't exactly working. The people are pissed at Bush's plan, not the dems lack of a plan. And they have presented quite a few ignored ideas and even some ideas that were picked up by republicans. Like the idea of phasing a redistribution of troops nearby. That idea originated on the left and was picked up by some republicans with ZERO credit given. You don't even have your facts straight on this stuff anyway. You actually think the plan for working with Syria and Iran for Iraq came from the dems, infact it mostly came from the Iraq Study Group ;) Ohhhh.... Ooops huh ::)

When was the last time your liberal ass vonluntered to fight for the freedom to say the stupid shit you spit out? I have been doing it for the last 10 years, reenlisted 2 times (once since the war started) and will re-enlist again just to protect your liberal "rights." I am sick of you liberal pussies using me and my peers as an excuse to get out of Iraq! I am stationed at a Army post where between the 4 branches of service we send thousands of troops a week through here. Every one of those troops signs up voluntarily and knows that within weeks they could be dodging bullets and sleeping in hand dug holes in the desert. But you liberals think the only reason we enlist and re-enlist is that we are to dumb to know better. I have completed to college degrees since being in the military and in the Air Force alone more than 50% have at least a 2 year degree. I continue to do this out of pride in my country and as much as I hate your liberal bullshit I am proud of the fact that the only reason you can do what you do is because I wear the uniform every day. We are not "fighting" iraq. We are fighting radical muslims and right now the front of that war is in Iraq. It didn't start that way, we went in, marched to Baghdad and were very sucessful. The war we are fighting now is not the same it was 3 years ago. And tomorrow it won't be the same as it is today. DO NOT SAY you support me because you don't. Saying you want all of us home so we don't get hurt is in no way supporting me. I signed up (3 times) with the willingness to lose my life, and someday if it comes to that I hope you liberals won't jack up what I died for.

Thank you for your post and thank you for your brave commitment to making this world a better place. I assure you your efforts are deeply valued by the majority of posters here. I'd really appreciate it if you could perhaps tell us of some of the good that is being done in Iraq, rather than the endless stream of negativity we seem to receive here.

I take it you haven't seen the latest list of university professors, CIA agents, lifetime military men and women, engineers, eh, you read the list:
http://www.scholarsfor911truth.org/WhoAreWe.html
These people have risked their careers and reputation. Hell, Reagan's right hand man Bowman who designed the Star Wars missile defense program has called it an inside job.
Not that asinine, dude.

What an idiot, that is all I can say. Did Saddam plan 9-11, not to my knowledge but he did support terrorism and we need to go wherever we need to, to root out terrorism. This isn't a past wold war where a battle front can be identified. Iraq, Iran, Syria, North Korea... they are all supporters of terrorism. If you are christian, jewish, catholic, buddist etc...anything other than radical muslim it is only a matter of time before they get to you or your kids or grand kids. This is a fight that we will never see the end of in our lifetime. It started before we were even on this earth, Hitler was a friend of the muslims and they used him to exterminate the jews. It has been a nonstop campaign since. Quit acting like we are at war with Iraq, we just aren't. There is no one there fighting the Iraqi Army. Al Queda is bringing the fight to us and doing so in Iraq. If we moved to Australia, italy, america, canada it won't matter because they will bring the fight to us wherever we are. I don't know if you are a sports fan but they always say "the best defense is a good offense" If you can give me one other alternative of what you would do different (and don't you dare bring up dying troops again) I am willing to debate it but until you stop spitting out all the talking points that Pelosi and clinton e-mail to you, I don't want to hear them anymore.

No. I talked about 9/11 and the man brought up iraq.
iraq didn't have anything to do with 9/11. You know that, right?

Fight the good fight. You have to believe these things to survive, then do it, God Bless you. When you come home though, and you're no longer surrounded by those whose only job in the world is to motivate you do fight, do a little reading.
-
No. I talked about 9/11 and the man brought up iraq.
iraq didn't have anything to do with 9/11. You know that, right?
Calm down, Rob. I have never implicated Iraq with 9/11, you're choking on your own bile at the moment.
-
Yes, you excellently outline the deep trouble the world faces from Islamofacism. Thank you.
My thinking is that we can still comandeer Iraqi oil on the outskirts of the cities and allow the people to kill one another IN the cities.
If they come near the oil and attempt to hurt strategic US interests, then mow em down.
But standing on a corner playing referee is a no-win situation.

So patronising, so elitist. You honestly believe this brave man is misinformed because you disagree with him. Get over yourself.

You are a moral coward on this issue.

No, I know the man is uninformed because I have studied resources he has not. He is doing what many do - arguing against a position they don't understand. When I post examples of complicity or physical impossibilities, he responds with insults about Clinton and Pelosi. When a person resorts to that, I know they don't understand the topic.
-
You are a moral coward on this issue.
No, I am tkaing the position of realist.
tell ya what - YOU TELL ME - why would the US only raise troop levels to meet the inflationary rate of the insurgents? they know we have been losing for two years - so they raise troop levels to a point which does nothing but MAINTAIN this losing ratio.
It's a waste of lives. Call me a moral coward because I believe our men/women are worth more than backstops in an iraqi conflict? I tell ya what - YOu do stand on those fucking corners, THEN you call me names.
-

Unbelievable, there you go patting yourself on the back again, claiming people don't 'understand'. I've never seen a man give himself such a hand outside of a 20 cent peep shop.

I'm referring to 9/11, which you are not personally invovled in.
And I don't want to enlighten you dude. i feel bad enough that you're over there risking life and limb for our nation's fiture energy reserves. I want you to come home, work on borders, fuel research, anything but standing over there. Shit, 25 troops died on saturday. That is completely wrong.
i can tell you that 36% of Americans belive it was a self-attack. I can tell you there are over 100 documentaries (most made by republicans) which punch holes in official story. I can tell you that 4 of 10 of the 911 commissioners want a new investigation. I can tell you bush bought 100,000 acres in paraguay (non-extradite for political crimes). We arm the police and we leave the cities. We let them do their job. They have a govt and they have a police force we've been trianing for 2 years.

Uh, okay? Maybe you shouldn't clarify it out loud if you don't want me quoting it.
-
They have a govt and an army which has received US training for 2 years now.
We leave and let the police do their job.
We protect the borders from foreign aggression, removing their need for an army right away and keeping the neighbors out of the years. We also maintain, build, guard our bases and the pipeline.
The police do what police do - secure the streets and maintain the peace. Our troops do what they are supposd to be doing - defending assets, conducting missions when needed, and sleeping safe. Why on earth do we have US forces standing around, surrounded by people who hate them speaking a foreign language?
Get them out of the dangerous areas. keep the nation safe and let the police keeps the cities safe. period.

You've changed your tune now, glad I have a moderating effect on you.
-
You've changed your tune now, glad I have a moderating effect on you.
I didn't know the history - how far the US agreement with the taleban went. we had them in TX in 1996 to plan the pipeline. Bush Cheney knew they would be running our nations' energy - whether it be in the white house or the pvt sector. taleban fcked us over. gave the deal to argentina. So i'm okay with war there, and I know the drug trade we allow helps our econonmy. I'm a realist about this. (but to deny it is asinine).
In iraq - it's more vague. Essentially it was a resource conquest. one of the ripple effects is that we HAD to help rebuild their society and got to hand hussein in the meantime. the oil contracts in place now - even if we leave tomorrow - will help future US survival.
But losing ONE MAN to iraqi on iraqi violence is bullshit. Get out of the cities and guard the oil infrastructure. Put a missile into anything our intel says is a potential threat, and let the iraqis fix the city.

A non-drunk with a 100+ IQ would be a start.
Also someone who's not a cokehead. I've noticed that Bush has a tendency to twitch his head in every one of his TV appearences and that's a sign of cocaine use. And it's not like his use of cocaine is a big secret either.

Where's the clip of bush speaking 10 years ago - he is VERY fast back then. Maybe brilliance and excitement, maybe... well...
At any rate, his ability to construct sentences and answer spontaneously has deteriorated greatly. I don't know why. Some doctors have speculated presenile dementia, some just think he's slowing with age. Who knows.

I didn't say that.
I said his ability to respond to questions, construct sentences, and maintain train of thought has lessened over ten years. I'm sure all of us are a tad slower than we used to be. I dasagree with camel's take - I don't think bush is on anything but vitamins and perhaps Pepto.

Damm leave the board for one day to defend America and I miss all the good stuff. Anyway..yeah 240 in a perfect world we could train up the police and army to fight and control their own cities..except their a bunch of incompetent baboons. Have u ever seen an arab fight...its ridiculous. The Kuwaitis' have M1A2's. They don't even pull their own maintenance, they contract it out. They can do the insurgent thing no problem but our guys (Iraqi's) suck by and large. I have no idea how they invaded Kuwait or fought Iran for 9 years.

Lose the angst, dude. Your tough love military approach on things isn't fooling anyone. No one insulted you in this thread, yet you come out as though we insulted the entire US military. You're dead wrong when you say people don't support you. They may not agree with the US jacking up Iraqi oil, but they damn sure want your ass alive and back home.
We're fighting radical muslims that want us out of their country. These people weren't responsible for 9/11, and they damn sure could care less about the US. The only reason they oppose us in Iraq is because they don't want us there. We should stop giving a rat's ass and bail, but we wont because we want their oil and because in large part people like you still think that's the most important front on the war on terror.
You should strap up your boots to march into Iran..

If the bad guys fight like shit, and the cops fight like shit, then it sounds like a pretty level trianing field. Why not pull out of the cities and let the police do their job?
And if they're THAT incompetent, why are we still at a stalemate after 4 years? SHit, we conquered Ger, Italy and Japan in less time. We're talking ONE COUNTRY we control with a leader and police force we manage.
Makes ya wonder if it's designed to fail/stall because the profits made from war spending outweight the value of lives lost to some :(

I'll go to Iran today if I could, they are seriously dangerous. I don't believe though that we are being attacked in Iraq because they don't want us there. The ones attacking us aren't Iraqi.

Bro, the thing is that those other arabs attack you are trying to rile up the iraqi people. In the end US troops are the scapegoats for death of iraqi citizens. Why else would iraqis get riled up and protest US occupation? I say the US should get outta there because it's a no win situation.

Dude, they haven't attacked us. They havent' done shit but talk tough. yet you're ready to battle 70 million people in their own backyard. brilliant. You go take on the world and kill people who haven't attacked us yet. Yeah. You're going to liberate them by invading a soverign nation who hasn't attacked anyone?
Listen to yourself. you're anxious to kill. Jesus, man. Iran is begging for negotiations to de-escalate the US force buildup on their shores. You, and Bush, WANT war. It boggles the mind that you, having seen the horrors, want to start a 3rd consecutive running stalemate.

And we're losing all our guys to bring democracy to a "bunch of incompetent baboons" Fucking Brilliant 8) Some things are worth fighting for... hehe and some things arn't...
The dumbest thing I've heard yet is the notion that we're fighting them over there so we don't have to fight them here... Oh brother...

-

Iran started nukes after we called them evil and took out both their neighbors. Shit, if a cop called you 'evil' then coldly executed the people sitting on either side of you then pointed his gun at you, would you reach for your gun?
We labeled Iran in the axis of evil, invaded afghan and iraq, then posted ships at their borders.
If extermists like military muscle 69 are so fucking wet for a war, let em have it. Go get em tiger. And when you lose a leg or end up shitting in a bag, don't come home fucking crying about how you did this for the USA. You did it because you like trigger time and because you wanted to draw frist blood because Bush - with all his credibility - said Iran was "bad".
Go get em tiger. Just don't cry later or try to justify it for freedom. your own words: I'll go to Iran today if I could

Unfortunately, this is what they'll be saying in 2-3 years. And again it'll be our fault because we're too politically correct. ::)

What even makes you think they will attack us? What evidence do you have?
Osama was responsible for the attacks on US citizens in Africa! Yet, Clinton failed to kill him. Bush didn't strike him down before 9/11, so it was a failure on behalf of the US armed forces.
Don't go comparing apples to oranges.

Please list your sources sites, polls, etc......the conspiracy theories are hear say until they deem it declassified and every page is open to congress and senate, I have a hard time because for every argument that you have made about 9/11 being an inside job there are as many if not more to refute it.....I think you're just looking at this from one side!
-
Spin my ass, how much do you want to bet that I can dig of a whole lot of rebuttals you completely ignored.
Still waiting..... ::)

More than a third of the American public suspects that federal officials assisted in the 9/11 terrorist attacks or took no action to stop them so the United States could go to war in the Middle East, according to a new Scripps Howard/Ohio University poll.
The national survey of 1,010 adults also found that anger against the federal government is at record levels, with 54 percent saying they “personally are more angry” at the government than they used to be.
Thirty-six percent of respondents overall said it is “very likely” or “somewhat likely” that federal officials either participated in the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon or took no action to stop them “because they wanted the United States to go to war in the Middle East.”
“We know that there are a lot of people now asking questions,” said Janice Matthews, executive director of 911Truth.org, one of the most sophisticated Internet sites raising doubts about official explanations of the attacks. “We didn’t have the Internet after Pearl Harbor, the Gulf of Tonkin or the Kennedy assassination. But we live in different times now

Widespread resentment and alienation toward the national government appears to be fueling a growing acceptance of conspiracy theories about the 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.
Suspicions that the 9/11 attacks were "an inside job" _ the common phrase used by conspiracy theorists on the Internet _ quickly have become nearly as popular as decades-old conspiracy theories that the federal government was responsible for President John F. Kennedy's assassination and that it has covered up proof of space aliens.

Oh please. Who are these "1,010 adults"? ::) The 911 nuts are a small but vocal minority. Most rational people don't believe this crap.

More than a third of the American public suspects that federal officials assisted in the 9/11 terrorist attacks or took no action to stop them so the United States could go to war in the Middle East, according to a new Scripps Howard/Ohio University poll.
The national survey of 1,010 adults also found that anger against the federal government is at record levels, with 54 percent saying they "personally are more angry" at the government than they used to be.
Interesting, but the BOLD, makes this poll inconsequential to your asserion that 36% of Americans believe 9/11 was an inside job. It's not difinative in that sense.
Also, other polls should show similar results.
-
scripps in a reputable agency, my friend. And 1000 adults CAN show the beliefs of 300 million within a given margin for error.
Perhaps if you spent more time in a stats class, and less time defending an obvious lie by your security blanket of a politcal party, you would learn something.
BTW - many "rational" people have called 911 an inside job. Ppl from both parties, people from scientists to engineers to college professors to former CIA agents. But, you go suck your thumb and cuddle your republican party blanket, Linus.
-
There are problems with this poll:
36% think A or B occurred.
What percentage think "A" occurred ?
What percentage think "B" occurred?
What percentage think A and B occurred?
That's why this poll isn't good.

Surveys are a bunch a bull, I get republican ones all the time, and the only reason I get them is I have a free membership to limbaugh. So they mail to all of his listeners and then act like it is a balanced result. GOP has theirs, Dems have theirs but none of them are accurate. If you poll 1,000 people in MO, KS, AR, IL and Iowa and then poll 1,000 in MA, NH, ME, NJ and CT you would get completely different results. Polls are useless

There are rules for how to conduct surveys.
You make some very good points, there are a lot of bullshitters out there that doesn't take the necessary steps that are needed to produce truthful survey results.
However, survey institutes are generally pretty good at this. Why? Because it's their business idea to be as accurate as possible.
If they're able to give survey results that give a truthful illustration of how Americans feel about an issue, that is good business for them.
So in order for surveys to be truthful, the are usually conducted throughout the country, and on a demographically widespread group.
But this is mainly the serious survey companies, and universities.
You still raise a very valid point however. Those surveys you're asked to fill in, they're probably also used to scan the Limbaugh audience, know how his audience has changed their opinions on the topics that Limbaugh discusses on his show, so he more easily can address his audience.
My best advice to you would be to either send it back blank or fill it in randomly. 8)

Polls aren't useless but they can be manipulated to reflect points of view.

I don't need a stats class to know that human beings have motives. Even the stat companies. I wish it weren't true but it is. I jst don't pay attention to them.

So you are arguing against the reliability of polls conducted by economists and statisticians at firms that use polling data for many purposes in our society.
You admit you have no statistics training and it seems you don't understand the concepts presented here.
I think most rational people might believe an economist before your claim of "polls are useless".

I agree. Polls can be manipulated. Careful phrasing of questions can produce a desired and/or unreliable outcome. You always have to question the pool. Sometimes I pay attention to them, sometimes not.

Hahaha...okay, I have a little time so I'll respond (and it just pisses you off when I don't answer you right away LOL. This is the thing......the Dems ran on an agenda talking shit about how the war is going in Iraq, that was basically the only issue they ran on.....they couldn't complain about the economy or many other social issues for that matter so the only thing they had left was the war, and even with that they BARELY won and you have one dem that was almost on his death bed and even now can hardly function and if God for bid (I don't wish harm on anyone) he remains incapacitated or dies the Repubs regain power. Now they ran on the war agenda, they won, but after all the complaining and critisizing and backstabbing and dirty politics and saying hw they are going to change things....they still have nothing and it isn't even first on their agenda, as a matter of fact, it seems like they won't even bring it up until someone else does. You said they presented a few ignored ideas, there ideas were basically pull all troops NOW, deploy the troops to other regions or have a "Dialog" with the enemy.
1. We'll have troops in Iraq for the next 20 years so a complete pullout is not an option So deal with it. 2. Phasing the troops and redeploying IMO is the best idea 3. Having a "dialog" is the most retarded suggestion I have ever heard coming from any politition. You can't do any of these things until the Iraqi Army has their own handle on thing and Bush said in the last speech he would give them six months (or something like that). Anyways, yes the Dems voted on this war too and get on a band wagon everytime someone says something negitive.....they are robots!

That is what I am saying. America is to obsessed with worhtless numbers. Even if they prove my point, I still pay no attention

Here's this, not far off the mark.
"Do you think members of the Bush Administration are telling the truth, are mostly telling the truth but hiding something, or are they mostly lying?
Telling the truth 16%
Hiding something 53%
Mostly lying 28%
Not sure 3%"

Oh please. Who are these "1,010 adults"? ::) The 911 nuts are a small but vocal minority. Most rational people don't believe this crap.

Must suck to know that one out of three of the people you see on a daily basis believe 9/11 is an inside job.
They don't talk about it. And your numbers with your military friends are gonna be lower cause they think what they're told.
But 1/3 of America.
THink about that.
As much it doesn't make sense that a small bumber of people in power here would allow Americans to die to gain support domestically and internationally for an aggression for energy...
the evidence, and the opinion of approx 100 million of your fellow Americans, support that belief.
(If you think it's bad now, wait til bush leaves office and people start coming fwd. We've already had some people from Bush's admin call it an inside job, just wait til the fear leaves. You did know about the former members of the Bush 1,2, and reagan admins that have called it an inside job, didn't you? )

You are claiming 1/3 of American adults believe 911 is inside job based on the poll posted in this string? After you admitted there are problems with the poll?
You have previously said the media doesn't report this conspiracy because they are controlled by the CIA. Now you're saying my "military friends" don't talk about it because they aren't independent minded. How the heck do you know that? I talk to active duty and retired military all the time and they don't talk about it, except to ridicule it. Some of these same people don't like Bush and talk openly with me about it. I talk to professionals and blue collar workers and they don't talk about it, except to ridicule it. I am having a meeting with my partners tomorrow. If I brought it up at the meeting they would laugh me out the door. The overwhelming majority of the public does not take this stuff seriously.
People obviously don't talk about it.
-
I have to wonder - if they had done a poll and only 1% of Americans believes 9/11 was an inside job, would you be throwing that in my face?
Cause this poll shows 1/3 of Americans believe it was an inside job.
Also, if ya understood the statistical basics behind the polls, you would know that they can very accurately predict how a large number of people will respond using population sampling, and they have very scientific processes to ascertain their numbers and % of accuracy.
You're attacking the entire field of statistics and polling, completely discounting its accuracy, without so much as a Stats 1 class. You cannot tell me WHY polls are wrong - you just FEEL it.
A completely moronic argument. You should go punch yourself in the face.

The poll is junk based on the result of a 2 issue "and or" question.
Why are you chastising people for their opinion on stats when this poll is clearly bunk and your "spinning" the results? (As usual)

Zogby had 49% of NYers believing 911 was an inside job.
CNN had 84% believing White House was covering something up.
We can argue til we're old and in diapers. Even if only THREE PERCENT OF AMERICA believes it was an inside job, you have TEN MILLION AMERICANS believing it was an inside job. This poll puts the number at 12 times higher.
Fact is, when BB says "People obviously don't talk about it.", he's obviously f'king retarded and should stab himself with a butter knife in his belly button.

what does any of that have to do with this bunk poll and your spinning of it?
Also I come in contact with literally hundreds of people every month and i've never heard it talked about until i saw something in popular mechanics and this forum............. but that's not the issue here. The poll is, and it's bunk and your spinning it again.

instead, over 1 in every 3 chose to answer they believe the govt let or made it happen.
Please debunk this. Also, if it is pure BS, I'm sure the pro-911 story people MUST have dozens of surveys to show this is wrong. Wait, they don't have ONE? Surely they have run their own. They build websites, hold debates, etc.... they haven't run ONE poll to counter the scripps?
Maybe they did. Of course, the only reason we wouldn't have been told about the findings is...

As I suspected, 98% rehashed BS... You've posted this same thing over and over... I didn't have to have you reply, all I had to do was look at other posts by Mr. Intensone... Funny thing is we've been over this so again I don't fucking know why anyone ever replies to you because you either bail before the debate is over or you drag people into duplicate conversations... As we covered before, the dems can't come up with and implement a plan for Iraq. What they can do is what they promissed to do is what the Republican rubber stamp congress failed to do and that's provide oversight... In otherwords, do their job... That's what they ran on... They mostly ran on corruption and promissed oversight. And again with blaming the dems for wanting to have a dialog with Iran and Syria... First, get this through your thick skull once and for all... You can read it online... THE BIGGEST PROPONENT OF THIS IDEA CAME FROM THE IRAQ STUDY GROUP... Second, diplomacy is NEVER a bad idea... This fucktard of a president has basically pissed all over diplomacy at every turn, he's heading us toward full out annihilation as fast as he can. I agree with the Iraq study group on that issue but I do not agree with your insisting the idea was mainly put forth by dems... BULLSHIT... So stop telling the dems to come up with the plan unless you want the president to step down. As is now they're doing exactly what they should be doing... oversight...

We've gone from admired by many to hated the world over... Diplomacy should never be off the table like Bush has done... No fucking wonder we're making more enemies... Pure bullshit... Actually, history has shown negotiations to be a great alternative to war. See: USSR. They wanted us dead, we wanted them dead. War was avoided thru diplomacy. Any leader which is willing to send thousands of its own kids to die before they will have a conversation with a nation, DOES NOT GIVE A SHIT about those kids' lives. And anyone who supports that policy, IMO, isn't showing a great worry for our soldiers' lives.

DID you ever go outside of the United States prior to your deployment? Or did you ever visit a foreign nation prior to the Iraq war? The United States was loved prior to the Iraq war, and by that I mean MOST people from other countries had a favorable opinion of Clinton and the United States, and most STILL love Clinton. The US basically found some dumbass camel jockeys that hated America(keep in mind that these people were a very small minority) and used them as an excuse to sieze oil and will continue to do so into the future. Now those numbers of dumbass camel jockeys has grown exponentially because the US is pretty much doing whatever the fuck it wants and is using the worst attack on its own soil as a means of emotion blackmail to con its people into believing bullshit.

Dude, you can't compare past wars to the likes of this, this is not a conventional war, you cannot negotiate with Al Qeada, they are terrorists they want us dead at any and all costs! The midget from Iran already said the world would be better if America didn't exist, the UN put sanctions on him and he's ignoring them, same with Hezzbolah and Iran is funding their cause!

We CAN negotiate with Iran. They are a traditional nation with societal and legislative infrastructure, and they have a lot to lose - iran is loaded $$. They have begged us to negotiate an agreement - we agree not to invade them, they agree to lose the WMD program. We won't do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If THAT is the goal, why won't we? We all know why. Same reason we're surrounding their country with carriers and now admitting to executing iranians caught in iraq. We want a war!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Russia spent 40 years wishing the US would collapse. Words don't mean shit. I could care less if every leader in the world doesn't like us and wishes ill will upon us. Until one of them raises a finger, we don't have a right to kill them for their opinion.
Do YOU wish iran was wiped off the map?

Russia spent 40 years wishing the US would collapse. Words don't mean shit. I could care less if every leader in the world doesn't like us and wishes ill will upon us. Until one of them raises a finger, we don't have a right to kill them for their opinion.
Do YOU wish iran was wiped off the map?
IF what 240 says is true about the negotiations then

Despite whatever you want to say about Bush, the polls don't reflect the reality about how people in the red states feel about Bush because there are still states that are very republican and loyal to the conservative community. The truth is there are more republicans than democrats in the political spectrum and conservatives don't abandon their beliefs just because of a leader like Bush is portrayed as the so called boogyman.

The polls DO reflect how people feel. They are scientifically provable and transcend our personal experiences with people of similar thinking. IE: Beach Bum only hangs out with military people and his students - so he believes EVERYONE supports the war, because the military people do what they're told and his kids just want to impress him. So he'll discount every poll as "that's not what I hear". Likewise, if you spent your days hanging out at ACLU HQ, you would think that EVERYONE is anti-war, when that's not true either.
The issue here is this group of moderate republicans who have been jilted by Bush and are waiting for this crazy right-wing neocon group to settle down until we return to our party.
If Bush gives in and stops the war (or if Dennis Kuscinich has him impeached), the party will unite behind the new guy and will topple Hilary in 2008. however, if warmonger McCain sticks around and wins the nominatino, people aren't going to vote for 4 more years of war.

All I said before and I'll say it again has to do with the very red states that have the complex christian identity. I don't think the president could have less than a 50/50 disapproval among the stereotype demographic such as those hardline NASCAR DADS as well as all the ultra southerners who have the Marlboro man type of personality. It is a little hard for me to believe that people such as the Floridians and Texans and Georgians and Oklahomans and Virginians and Alabamans as well as citizens in Mississippi or Tennesse or Kentucky or North and South Carolina dislike the president based solely on his politics when they still do agree with his religious beliefs.

As a recently relocated former Virginian... let me tell you, my mother is probably the biggest Christian alive, and even SHE now hates his ass.
Trust me... people CAN put aside their religious beliefs and just say the guy is a dumbass.
Remember when Kennedy ran for President?
Everyone said there's no WAY a catholic can go into the Whitehouse... They don't say that too much these days.
Bush is soooo bad that no amount of religion can cover up the fact he's an idiot.

Now those numbers of dumbass camel jockeys has grown exponentially because the US is pretty much doing whatever the f**k it wants and is using the worst attack on its own soil as a means of emotion blackmail to con its people into believing bullshit.
I have deployed several times and the only country I felt welcomed in was Kuwait. German's were ok, young south koreans hated us, the english don't like us, in guatemala we were shot at trying to clean up their huricane, people in Haiti threw blood at us, and the bolivians would shout obscenities at us driving by. That was all pre 9/11. So yeah I guess you could say I have deployed. I am a pavement engineer and with the exception of Korea and Kuwait I was in these places on Humanitarian missions and we still got treated like shit. We are not liked in the world and it has nothing to do with Bush
