So many guys i over hear at the gym say "yeh i dont just lift weights, ive started MMA now too!"
Ive heard it 3 times this week alone!
As they say Everyones a cage fighter!

More gyms should have cages so guys would have to verify their claims.

99% of these people couldn't tell the different between a kimura and an armbar. It's a well-known fact that 100% of the TUF retards infesting these gyms in their Tap-Out gear don't know jack shit.

Hey! there's nothing wrong with TapouT gear! :)

in fact just yesteday there was a 210lb 30% bodyfat shaved head warrior in the gym wearing a TapOut shirt that was torn at the neck, undoubtedly from a harrowing battle against a worthy opponent. he must have DiDi 7'd out the blood stains though, because all i could see were pit stains.

Man I think I know the guy you're talking about. Its funny I see all these 160lb kids talking and acting like they know how to fight just because they watch UFC or pride.

Blame it on TUF. Not that it's bad. Any growth for MMA is good. You won't see these clowns at a school/club learning how to fight anyway.
-
Or there's the kids who get together with their friends and wrestle/grope each other and call that their MMA class. Haha, technically they are doing MMA, doesn't mean they'll be the least bit good at it.

are you still coming to az for spring training?

There is NOTHING worse than these idiots who think they are MMA guys that now infest gyms. They head upstairs, pale as a ghost and flabby as hell, head shaved, hooded sweatshirt on, weak as shit, read to beat on a bag for about 30 seconds (all they can manage in the shape they are in) and then roll on the floor for a little while. An hour or so of this and then 15 minutes of lifting light weights and they are toast.
I'm wondering what has created all of these losers? I'm thinking these are bullies who never grew up or guys that have bonded with MMA because you don't have to be a great athlete or really strong to do it. It's perfect for some newbie who's weak as hell but still wants to feel like a bad ass. It's also perfect for someone with shitty genes who wants to feel superior to others in some way.
These MMA wannabe gym rat clowns need a creative nickname....

We're going to try, but since I coach my son's Pony team it might be difficult, we're getting a couple of bi-weeks during the season so maybe then, but we have to do it quick the MLB season starts April 1st!

Our gym has an Octagon and full size ring along with 3000 sq. ft. of mat. OUr newest gym will be even bigger. We have about 120 guys who only train in the MMA here. Mostly Jiu-jitsu. Have quite a few from Brazil too.
