It's pretty rare for a non-studio film to get such a wide release, but it speaks volumes about the expectations that the Exhibitors have about this flick. If you check out myspace.com (http://myspace.com) you can see the ads running everywhere on the main page, just like they did for 300 and Borat -- coincidentally the last two monster hits that properly used Myspace for promotions.
Yahoo is also giving some free pub to the film by continuing to shill endlessly about the 1.5M Enzo Ferrari that Eddie Griffin totaled this past week -- http://buzz.yahoo.com/buzzlog/67484/a-car-worth-wrecking (http://buzz.yahoo.com/buzzlog/67484/a-car-worth-wrecking).
If Levrone is in this movie half as much as I think he is, it will be a huge career boost for him.

Kevin really is one of the biggest idiots I've ever seen.
The guy was making millions of dollars a year with his lucrative bodybuilding career, endorsments, and gym. He decides that he wants to have an average body to go along with his average looking face and make it big in Hollywood. He quit bodybuilding and sells his gym and moves to Hollywoods like so many unfortunate souls just to meet the fate as those suckers. Unsuccessful and a shell of his former self.

I'm pretty sure that wasn't staged. And the guy behind the barrier didn't flinch cause he doesn't have much time. And he is probably a veteran photographer of these type of events and realize that barrier will protect him. But I doubt that was a setup. It's as hard to crash on purpose as not crashing. And I don't think Eddie Griffin is a seasoned driver and expert where he can control a crash. I just think the timing is good that this happened.

The Trailer looked good.
I was expecting Levrone to be as bad as the Barbarian Twins, they really set a standard for Teh Sucky Acting, BTW.

although i hear what your saying, LA is full of actors that were nobodies before hopping on a bus and becoming "something"...Kevin had a succesful career and was one of the best at what he did in bodybuilding...Now he is trying to parlay that...Nothing wrong with that....Hell politicians have statues made of themselves and bridges named after them...Talk about insecure...Look at guys like Rhino...He supposedly is at the top 2% in the country in earnings in the business world and that dude is one of the most insecure guys out there...And so are all the 350 pound cake eating CEO's that run companies...

Tons of action, girls, racing, gambling and some of the hottest cars I've ever seen on the silver screen! It's about time Hollywood put some "real cars" in one of these racing movies. Another surprise was that the plot actually works and didn't bore me to death. It's all about high stakes gambling. The acting was alright, but Eddie Griffin was hilarious. Oh, and the lead actress...."ouch!". So Hot. I think we'll be seeing more of her, at least I hope! Another cool thing is that I'm a HUGE No Limit Texas Hold'em player and the film actually features one of my all time favorite pro's Gus Hansen (with Dave Williams) at his side playing poker with Tim Matheson's character. This movie's going to be a hit for sure. Can't wait for the sequel.

I know that Kevin can do anything he sets his mind to accomplish. Kevin has more self-discipline than anyone I've ever met. If he decides to come back, he won't do it half-assed. He will be at his all-time best. And the chips will fall where they may.

Kevin, good luck with your career, even though you were a dick at the Southern States when you were the guest poser. Some guy and his kid wanted a pic with Kev and he didn't even get out of the chair, he made the guy bring his kid behind the table and kneel down to be in the frame with Kev. (You should have seen the look on the guys face) But at least he didn't pull a Ferigno and charge the guy $20. That was back in 95 or 96. I'm sure that 10+ years of personal growth has made him appreciate his fans more. ::)
Got to admire his hustle though. He doesn't come on getbig for a while then he comes on makes a few posts about how he appreciates his fans may come back to bodybuilding ::) (this is the biggest PR stunt to hype the movie btw) and he wants all his fans to come and see his new movie because he is got to get as many suckers to buy tickets to jack up opening night box office ratings.
