Right theres a problem. 19in arms, 315X3 on the bench. Granted, big arms doesn't give you strength but, triceps dominate 3/4 of the arms, 19in arms are pretty damn big, combined with front delts & pecs & you can only get 315X3,something is seriously wrong with that pix. Maybe you worked total arms that day,supersetting bi's & tri's & totally maxing the pump, & being 6'3 , maybe, just maybe, you managed to pump them to the 19in mark, but cold measurements ? No way those arms are 19in. Not dogging you Maxx, but no way, not in a million years

That's what I'm thinking as well. I have a huge chest compared to my weiner arms. It's hard to find a happy medium. You'll either have huge tri's and a little chest or a big chest and little tri's until you can find a way to hit both of them equally hard, especially if your bench is a staple of your chest movements as well it should be.

I'd give it between 18 and 18.5... He has a peak, which is decent.
Looks like he could use some front delts, but it's hard to tell with the shirt.

Not getting into the middle of your squabble, but you could use some tricep... If you added some mass to the backside of your arm, it would certainly be more impressive.

i do hammercurls all the time but i just cant develop that middle arm muscle, i neglected triceps for years, we europeans like to train biceps and chest. but ill catch up in time.

i never doubted your strength, i dont bench, for chest i do isolation movements. but on shoulder press i can indeed lift my bodyweight.

On the original question, it's a good arm probably in the 17-18 range. At 6' 3', you'd need to be in the 280-290lbs range to have a 19" arm.

I don't know, Dave Willoughby taped various WSM contestants for an article in the May 1983 Ironman.
He gave the following measurements for:
Bill Kazmaier:
Biceps:21.4
Forearm:16.6
Weight:320
Height:6' 2"
Wrist: 8.6
Ken Patera:
Biceps:21.7
Forearm:16.8
Wrist:9.5"
Ht.6' 1" .5
Weight:345lbs.
From the chart, those two are both close to 6' 3" and they both needed to be well over 300lbs to have arms in the 21-22" range
Also, in the photos, they are both lean. Kazmaier is in the 12% BF range. Patera is around 16% BF range.

Now most folks agree that you need to add close to 15lbs per 1" of arm growth, so:
Kazmaier would need to be around 280-290 to have a 19" arm at 6' 2".
Patera would need to be 300ish to have a 19" arm at 6' 1".5.

Now I'm willing to accept a bit of variation based on BF%, training style, genetics, etc..... but you'd still need to be a lot heavier than 245 to have a 19" arm at 6' 3".

I don't know why you'd use examples of guys who concentrate on power moves, who don't really care as much about arm size or development because most the strength comes from the legs & torso. No need to be that heavy to have 19s at 6'3".

22 in that picture; I'm 25 now a little leaner with more more muscle maturity. Arms have always been a strong point, which causes my back and chest to lag somewhat.
