Far less than for the bodybuilding websites, that's for sure.   Sooner or later the mags will be going the way of the dinosaur.

MD claims 291000 per month and musclemag claims 360000 per month. didn't see numbers for others. that is numbers published, if that's what you are asking.

There is a company that actually audits circulation rates, of what really sells in stores. Those are the actual numbers. Of course, you can also add subscriptions to them to, but not sure if they are audited or not.

lol, so bodybuilding.com has as many people visiting in two days as the top circulation rates?  Not to disrespect the companies as they had their run but as goatboy said, websites are where it's at.

Getbig.com gets 20,000 unique visitors a day.  Discuss.

20,00 in a half a day... but there is a major difference between internet and magazines.  Visitors on websites go and browse small sections at a time, to their liking.  Readers of magazines tend to go through the entire magazine, often more than once, and usually over a number of days.

We still go back in magazine here at the office, I have over 2,500 of various bodybuilding magazines.

20,00 in a half a day

I think that makes getbig the second most visited bodybuilding site after bodybuilding.com.

Discuss.

All of which means nothing here ay work we get 10 copies of musclemag with every supplement order through I think europa. So we get like 40 copies a month.

It takes a long time to get the true numbers.
Magazines like to talk about "readership." Most bodybuilding magazines claim that one sold copy is read by 14 people.
there is
-  "readership"  (usually very inflated)
-  printed copies
-  sold copies (subscribers & newstand sales)

Most of the bodybuilding magazine sales went down over the last 10 years.
MuscleMag used to have about 170.000 sold copies in 1997, now it is 65.000
The biggest male fitness magazine is still Men's Health (about 1.300.000) and the biggest bodybuilding magazine is Muscle&Fitness (about 500.000).

Some websites like bodybuilding.com, musclegallery.com or usamuscle.com get more viewers than many bodybuilding magazines have readers. GetBig is also quite big.

You ask, here you go.  Here's the latest circulations for the various mags.  I get these from my broseph at DistNet USA as you all know.  He said the numbers are from reports provided by the magazine distributors. M&F blows them all out of the water.  MuscleMag does pretty good.  From the looks of the numbers I guess hardcore = "narrow interest" because MD trails most of the others. Does anyone know how much these mags charge for advertising?

Estimated U.S. circulation report February 2007 (Body Building Category)

Muscle and Fitness 431,000
Flex 103,000
MuscleMag Int 49,000
Ironman 43,000
Muscular Development  42,000
Planet Muscle 30,000

Bluto and I are working on keeping them here longer Ron, just like you asked us to. I am glad to hear that the average visitor stays here 7 minutes longer than when you asked us to help the cause. Notice I said glad, not satisfied, yet.
