There are more Black Captain America's than they are white ones.  Most people don't know that if they don't keep up with comics.

Captain America isn't dead because there were a lot of Captain America's  ;D

You have say that historically, he was the first, but chronologically (as introduced to the reader) he's one of the more recent.

Heck no.  There was only ONE SUPERMAN.

There were a million people calling themselves Captain America.  That's why I say the issue is a complete joke.

We'll see... in my opinion Captain America isn't just a name or a costume... It's one person. Steve Rogers and all that he holds America's ideals too.

Say what you want, but there really is only one true Cap... Many have imitated, but none have duplicated.

Its not something I said, it was all written and conceived by Marvel Comics.  Captain America is suppose to basically represent all of America which is why there were so many different "Captain Americas".  If there was  only one then it would not make much sense

I'm going to bed now.  Night folks

I remember the Captain America Movie from the Early 90's, was actually enjoyable to watch, and the make up work they did for Red Skull was quite impressive that time.  I think Captain America needed more muscle in that movie though, they should've casted Bob for the Role.

Hey Bob, why don't you post up some pics of when YOU were Captain America!

Was he killed by Al-Queda?

No he was killed because the government wanted to force him to give up his real identity and not hid behind the mask... can you say patriot act?
There is a lot of real life protest in the last cap comic than you think, I never liked Marvel (I'm more a DC person) but I have to admire their balls letting him die and under what circumstances.

I believe he's speaking on the fact that they tested the Super-Serum on black GI's during WWII. It is in the "Truth" series. They were guinea pigs before they gave it the "Golden Boy". Most died because the serum wasn't finalized.

that's gotta be something they call in comic book lingo a "retcon" where they go back and add something to the story or alter history in some way shape or form.  I highly doubt that there was originally a black captain america, although I have seen pics of a black bucky and no way in heck would they ever had had cap be a muslim back in the late 30's or early 40's.  I don't know everyhiing about comics but I know alot and I never recall seeeing a black cap...when was he introduced?

oh...and Cap is actually a rip off of a character named "the shield" which was put out by MJ comics-I think that's the name, they would eventually change thier name to Archie comics and discontinue thier super hero line but I'm pretty sure The Shield pre dates cap, pretty much a similar origin as well...super serum and all that jazz.

Bob, do you know who was the Original Capt America? I Assume you would know.

original history shows that the 1st cap was Steve Rogers, this is how the character was introduced by Timely comics back in the late 30's/early 40's.  When Timely went away or moved away from writing super hero comics cap did as well, when marvel began thier comeback and introduced the Avengers they reintroduced Steve Rogers, they came up with the storylien that he was frozen at the end of WW2 thus he was still a young man when they reintroduced him.
Patroit X as Vince pointed out is a new character and the concept of a black cap is a new one, it's called a retcon or patriot x is from an alternative timeline...they do that one alot in comics to explain these types of situations.

You mean "badder" attitude... and he's on the New Canadian team named "Omega Flight" btw... I liked that Shield better as it was made from Vibranium instead of Adamantium and was much more useful when Steve Rogers went by "The Captain" back in the late 80s.

I've got a bunch of those issues, that was a cool storyline.  I just don't read very many marvel comics anymore...but rest easy, Cap will be back, a character as good and as old as Steve Rogers ususally doesn't stay dead very long...ask Jason Todd ;D
