hahahaha, this is one of the funniest things IMO, share some of your stories i know you've got some, there's this clown in my gym, early 30's, 6'1" 190 pounds, different colored string tank top for every day of the week sporting massive 14 inch cannons, started using some test and d bol and was pathetically weak before, t bars with 2 25lb. plates, flat benches with 135 for 6-7, 40lb. db shoulder presses, etc. and about six months later is up to a mind boggling 225 for quarter reps on squats, 225 for 1-2 on flat benches, a pair of 60's for 6 on db shoulder presses, 135lb. barbell rows, hahahahahaha, guy carries around his water in a gallon jug. ;D
-
There was a juicer in college who was really puffy, he competed. He would incline 185 like it was a ton of weight, i was natural and would put another 75-100 pounds on the bar when i would work in ;D
-
HAHA yes, does he mix some shadow boxing in between sets?

his attitude, he trains with zero intensity, the guys arms shake with 155 on barbell inclines, doesn't eat enough either.

There's one of those at my gym. 19 years old been on juice for at least 6 months but being an ectomorph/cocain addict you would never know he juices. :D

hahahha, all right i lied, it's really 95 for 4. ;D
-
500 for 6 is a very believable squat for someone that weighs 240 pounds in their 30s. Onlyme's claims are bullshit. ::)

hahahha, exactly, you use every damn muscle in your body to squat, if you've been training for more than a couple of year sand you can't squat 405 something is wrong, a 405 seated press behind the neck is a different story.
-
hahahha, all right i lied, it's really 95 for 4. ;D
You are stronger than I thought. That is a lot of weight for a beginner. In about 6 months you should be doing 135lb for 5-8 on squats.

does he have the typical wiener strut? does he flex at the mirror mid-workout? does he stretch his calves a lot?
-
???
sorry my mistake :-[
-
I hit the gym last evening for a back workout and this 5'6 150lb stud comes pulling up in his lowered down pickup. he gets out struts in, changes his cloths, he does like 3 sets of bi's, then i hear one of the trainers telling him "give it time you only been on for 5 weeks". then he left.
hahahaha! man i literally laugh it these fools right to their faces.

I'm starting to understand squad why you doubt some peoples lifts. You have started many of these types of threads telling us stories about people in your gym. I can see why you have the attitude you have. You workout at a fucking circus tent. There is no way there can be a gym with so many fuck-ups and moron unless it is some type or place for "special" people. Do you really workout here or just making up a bunch of bullshit stories. I personally think its it later. And for someone who demands video proof of everything, I call bullshit on these stories until you post a video.

You have never seen weak juicers? They are everywhere.
-
Some people are just weak, lazy or both.
-
if you've been training for more than a couple of year sand you can't squat 405 something is wrong,
I wouldn't say that. Hell, I know some good competitive amateur bodybuilders who can't squat 405 ass to grass for even a single rep. For a natural, 405 is a VERY good squat (truly ass to grass), far far above the average natural trainee. Especially for a true ectomorph bodytype that weight would be most excellent.

I can vouch that yes it is a circus. There are not too many huge dudes working out in well known clubs in St. Louis. Tons of skinny suburban white kids with the hat sideways wearing a wifebeater who think they are the next Kevin Federline. Either that or super old fucks that are there for companionship...botherin g everybody and shit. The "hardcore" gyms are like dungeons in the city. For cardio they have a jump rope on the wall. Rusty plates, no collars for barbells. I opt for the gyms in the county. At least there is some ass to look at. ;D I guarantee Squad is not exaggerating too much.

i liked reading this thread and ill give you some recomendation,,especially to the serious guys on getbig that want to get far in body building,,
leave the ego out of the gym! you have to do it inorder to climb the ranks,,the strongest guys are usually the ones who dont get no where in bodybuilding,,i have seen and trained with many strong fellas in my career and those are the ones who always end up with very strong tendoins and bones yet no real solid well developed muscle tissue
its nice to lift heavy but it better be strict and done right so the muscle is worked otherwize! you waste your time in the gym and waste your life lifting weights,,remember what im tellin you guys it took me couple good years to learn it and i had no guidance on this part because no one care!
405 is very nice to squat but you can develop same size muscle with 300lb squat etc etc,,its all in the form when it comes to building muscle,,only when you are already big ,,lean muscle that is,,is when you can decide you wanna play very heavy not before!
take for example tropopin from this getbig board,,the guy is exteremly strong squat like there is no tomorrow yet can hardly nail top 10 nationals,,,again it is not the number you lift,,it is how you lift the number you chose to lift! depending on many factors such as drugs diet age years training injuries bodyfat% genetic heritage and purpose of training
do not do the mistake and waste your time and life building 24 inch quads doing 600lb squats,,use half this weight and build the 27 inches you really want,,if the muscle is there...the muscle is there,,,it wont go anywhere
the need to impress other lifters and females in the gym is big,,but! it wont be enough for no pro card nor any other mark in the industry,,
bodybuilders lift smart
powerlifters lift big
smart bodybuilders will involve powerlifting as part of their training in specific days of the week/month but a bodybuilder that only rely on super heavy poundage will never touch the top,,never!
-
Good post Gh15.
IF you need any help with your training or dieting don't hesitate to pm me.
WJH.
-
gh15 is right who cares if you can only bench 225 pounds 15 times it's what drugs you take that builds the mass.
-
gh15 doesn't Ronnie Coleman lift very heavy all the time ???
-
he does now! but he didnt do it when he was 17-27 ,,when he developed his base he was just one more brother in the us ymca or where ever,,thats where he created the base for the beast you come to know now days,,
also the very heavy lifting hurt ron and may prevent him from getting the record,,i still think he can pull it because you are talking about a monster light years ahead of current champ physiqe wize but age and super heavy poundage take their toll on human body
-

I don't know, I would bet Ronnie trained real heavy with sloppy form from the start, just like he does now. People usually don't change their training style IME. I remember him saying he did curls with 225 as a teen, that's not light training LOL. Today Ronnie uses too heavy weights to be able to train strict, even when he does high reps. I have never seen him do a even a single controlled set without lots of heaving and momentum. And he was powerlifter before bodybuilding so I'm sure he trained real heavy when he was a beginner. In the latest Olympia video series he says he isn't as strong as when he was younger.
Johnnie Jackson is another who has the same training style. Powerlifted competitively. Sloppy, lots of momentum. Branch is another.
So there are plenty of heavy trainers at the top. I would guess it's the other way around, the pros lighten the loads when they get older since the bodies start getting beat up.

One juicing sandniugga in my gym was on the leg press last week, doing an unbelievable 90kg (~~200lbs)
it was the first time i ever saw him training legs, he did 8 reps with 90kg then sat down and used his towel to fan fresh air to his face. He was breathing really heavy, rested for 3 minutes and then did another mindboggling 8 reps of 90kg.
he does about 70kg on the latpulldown, always very bad form on all exercises, and he's constantly blubbering into his cellphone.
He obviously juices, but it seems he only trains arms and chest and occasioanlly back. ;D ;D

wrong. Ronnie doesnt train sloppy.
thing with Ronnie is. HE CAN handle heavy weights with GOOD form. He is that good. (or was atleast). Do yourself a favour and watch Unbelivable again. That is Ronnie at his absolute best. 5 plate bent over rows with perfect form (alittle momentum but you have to have that not to tip over lol) and 6 plate front squats with perfect form..
Jonnie O Jackson on the other hand is a BIG ego lifter. He tries to hang with Ronnies weights when he really cant. Hence very very bad form.
-
why, he wouldn't listen, he's just a guy who's meant to be small and weak, i'm content just laughing at these fools.
squad, why don't do u go on a strict cut up diet to get ripped and shut up the haters?
if u want a sick diet i can help (i got mad cut up diets)
-
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
Squadfather claims 500 for 6 on squats!!
Biggest lie on Getbig EVER!!!!
This from the guy who calls bullshit on everyone's claims, even when they post pics proving him wrong!
Oh brother - do us all a favour and delete your account. ::)
-
good point... squad why not show video since u always ask for proof? its easy just set up ur cell phone.
-
gh15 what rep ranges do you suggest to train in usually for muscle gain?
how often should heavy lifting be used? 50/50 of the time or less?
-
6-10 upper
8-15 lower
heavy lifting should always be done when you can do it strict enough with little momentum and thats it,,25lb curls can sometimes be very very heavy weight when you do it last thing in your session with 6% bodyfat% on carb depleted diet,,all depends on situation and stage of prep/training
-
also i always recomend to have an all out super heavy days ( where you can do it not strict with cheating) marked ahead in yoru head,,like every monday of the week for example so you can impress who ever you want to impress wether its chics or guys so you can get the looks you want to get for ego purpose,,this is the day you should come at night with everyone,,
resr of the week come either early morning or late late night when no one is there beside you and yoru sweat,,and you can lift inorder to develop muscle and not ego
-
squadfather will never post the video, stop asking about it
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM. ;D
-
This squadfather is turning out to be a bit of a hypocrite. Funny as first, now it stupid. maybe he did 500 for 6 but is confident enough that he doesnt need to ''prove himself''...on other hand that makes him as bad as the people he makes fun of. Can you say arrogant :D
-

you have a better chance of seeing GAY-nus jew boy deadlifting 225 for 114 reps than seeing that fat fk dave under a heavy ass barbell actually doing anything other than jacking his dick looking at the guy bent over on the donkey calf machine. :P
god what weak ass sorry fag he is!!!
-

I have watched it numerous times. Compare his form to Dorian's in Blood & Guts. Dorian doesn't use momentum in everything like Ronnie. When Ronnie does rows he gives the bar a lot of speed with his legs, doesn't just pull with the lats like Dorian.
Watch Ronnie do rows in Chick's Olympia series. Tons of momentum even when he does 20 reps or so.
-

gh do you recommend training using conventional body part splits with each muscle trained every 5 days with high volume 15 sets or more or perhaps an upper/lower split training each muscle wtice a week with 15 sets total from both sessions? this is for someone who is not "hormonized"
-
maybe you can share your diet with him and help a bro out?
Maybe he should consider 110lb dbs for curls?
-
his attitude, he trains with zero intensity, the guys arms shake with 155 on barbell inclines, doesn't eat enough either.
Some guys I trained with as a kid always wondered why they couldn't put on size. These guys were real ectomorphs. Zero bodyfat. I would always tell them you gotta eat lots of food. But they ate like birds anyway. I always finished off their plates of food. It was fine by me. :D

Either way it makes for some entertaining reading. Imagine seeing Vince Goodrum workout? That would be hilarious.

Some guys I grew up with, Ruocco, Gaetano, guys who loved to fight. Would go to clubs every weekend and pick out obvious juicers and beat the tar out of them. This was in the early to mid 80's when you could get away with a lot more shit than today.

hahahaha! too funny.... i love seeing BB's out strutting around outside of the gym, they're so insecure with themselves it don't take much to make them melt or get then to go running with their tail between their legs ;D

SS, i doubt you would get out of line if you ran in to Scott Markey in a biker bar. ;D
