Title: Femis Lambrionidis Powerlifting
Post by: akers1021 on September 12, 2007, 04:28:00 PM
This dude is a FREAKING beast!    :o

22 years old
280 lbs
924 on this last squat, ASS TO THE FLOOR

Benching form is awesome FULL rest pause.

To top it off he is relatively LEAN for a powerlifter, I bet he could lift a car with those damn quads!

How'd you come up with 924 lbs?  400 kg is 882 lbs (still impressive, nonetheless).

I'm surprised none of the getbig toolset has mentioned his "30%bf", "waistline" or "puffy look" ::)

Wait, PegasQueer is logging on...

That's why I am impressed with this cat, he looks actually pretty lean.  you can see lines on him.  I would say him finding clothes is a BIG problem, those damn wheels would barely fit in the 80's style BB pants.

I wonder how tall he is...

that guy is not fat for sure and a great number of the guys here would love to look like that.  He has a good solid build.  Definitely trim enough.  I probably wouldn't want to be any more cut seeing as I will never compete.

12-13%,,lots of muscle,,lots of power,,dont belong in bodybuilding but would be shredded 220-230lb on stage,,no one is stronger than ussr/russian athletes,,couple scandinavians can give a good competition but russian lifters can lift houses,,strong strong strong they already lift like 250lb bodybuilders when they are 180lb thats how strong russian lifters are,,i put my money on eastern europe every single time when it comes to pure strength,,its in the blood

When I trained with Ray Menzter we did a variation of the Russian Strength workout.  For years after I still practiced it on some exercises.  The only thing we lacked was the in-between sets massage.  It is the best strength workout I ever did.  That combined doing negative on the Keiser machines was the ultimate.

Femis Lambrionidis is the greekest name I've ever seen. Maybe just born or living in Russia with Greek parents.

Also looks like he had a background in Olympic Weightlifting as shown by his deadlift and squat form.

No offence Wolfe but the reason noone is bitching about his lifts is perhaps because unlike your friends in Westside Barbell Club, this guy actually squats below parallell, and walks the weight off himself? ::)

And not to mention, the benchpress with proper pause and press signal, soles glued to the floor.

He's also squatting in single ply, without briefs, and with standard length wraps.

This actually looks like powerlifting, and most will recognize that.

As I said, no offence, just stating the obvious.

Check a vid of Vogelpohl, Graalf or similar lifter, and compare that to Lambrionidis' squat.

They can't touch him.

Agreed. I know shit about federations and the minutiae of the rules like you guys, but I (innately) recognize the control and form this guy has, unlike the bench pressing C. Mason showed up. Very impressive.

So you support the gear that IPF thinks is ok? The gear that can add 250lbs or more to your squats. Why do you feel that "looks like powerlifting" but the others do not? If you are so anti-gear you should support only the RAW feds.

How'd you come up with 924 lbs?  400 kg is 882 lbs (still impressive, nonetheless).

I think he did more later on in the video.

No. I am pro-RAW.

Raw powerlifting is definitely my preference, Cieri and Henderson are my favorite lifters.

he did 420 kgs. As was said before; he shows control, great form, it doesn't look like his potential is maxed out yet. very inspiring
