Title: Kidney question
Post by: Ursus on November 04, 2007, 01:40:50 PM
unfoirtunately i only have one functioning kidney and thus have to be very careful what i eat, salt content too much protein etc.

i have heard that a type of creatine serum does not effect the kidneys as opposed to creatine monohydrate which is dangerous for me to take

can anyone shed some light on this.

also mods could you please leave this up a few hours so i can get some feedback as the nutrition board does not get anywhere near the same amount of traffic

never heard of that.

But you might try Beta Alanine instead of creatine. The mechanism is different, but it's a good supplement that also helps with ATP production and gives good pumps.

If you already have only one functioning kidney, stop trying to be a bb. Go golf, play some chess and eat clean per your doc's recommendations.

per your doc's recommendations.

yeah, wtf are you asking this question to a bunch of internet posters?  even if a pro answers your question, you've got to remember that they think that tom prince is a nutrition guru. and our docs, if real, are not there to look at your specific rqmts.

Creatine serum is total BS, I have been in the industry 14 years don't waste your money. Krealkalyn might be a little better, if you're concerned about your health don't take any kind.

How is that better then half a liver? This liver regenerates. Kidneys don't.

the point was that irish people drink heavily and the liver is what is most effected by alcohol.  hence half a liver would make it work twice as hard.  try and keep up.

Probably not. You can never trust a supplement company as it isnt regulated by the fda. Possibly some bcaa during your work out but ask your doctor.
