Title: Anyone handy with tools around here?
Post by: danielson on December 01, 2007, 11:30:14 AM
My Grandfather who passed away when I was 12 used to bet on the Michigan-Ohio Sate Football game every year with his buddy. They bet 50 bucks, but they made sure that the money was never spent, like plaques of a big M with silver dollars or other stupid shit. Well I was just going through some of my stuff and I found one that is pretty lame. It is in plastic and it's not like I can do anything with it, so I may as well try to break it. I tried a hammer, but no luck. Anyone got any ideas?

I can't do it. I am thinking about using a drill bit and putting about 20 little holes in it and then wham! hit it with a hammer. Think it will work?

Naw, I might go to Home Depot and buy some blocks and put this in there and break it like this, maybe a ridgehand, this plastic is pretty solid.

Somebody you know should have one. No sense in spending any money to GET the money. That cuts into your profit margin

Yes I do know someone who has one. He is a contractor, I told him he opens it up, we split it 50/50 like Forrest and Bubba.

fact: if you find a dollar ripped in half or any paper money. You can send it to the treasury department and they will send you a check for half the value or whatever % of the bill you found.

Just send the whole fucking block in, can't weigh too much if it's plastic.

Really? Well, he took a chisel and it broke into like 8 pieces. I don't think it was meant to be broken into. Kind of sucks too, it was a cool paperweight. But I was bored.

Yeah, well as soon as I decided to "sub out" the project to my buddy I really lost interest. Half the money, none of the fun. Thank god he broke the thing right away and I didn't waste any time over there. I think I should have froze it tbh.

Yeah. When I was a Little Bruiser I used to act like I was going to do a magic trick with relatives dollars or teachers and I would tear the bill and act like I was going to put to together. Of course having the insight at the age that magic was homosexual I would just hand them back the bill and act salty. Adults don't want damaged money so they'd give it to me and I'd mail it in.

It has to be laminated (for lack of a better word) between two pieces. If you can find the seam try splitting it or maybe try a heat gun( be carefull they get very hot)maybe you can get it warm enough to seperate the two halves without damaging the money.

It broke already. A hammer and chisel and it split into tiny pieces.

Yeah, he looked a little younger. Sometimes you gotta get an older actor for these parts to make them good, like on 90210.
