since everyone is concerning about building muscles, I wonder what exercise is the quickest and most effective in term of burning fats and toning muscles? I heard swimming and running. Does Jump roping helps? What do you guys think?
-
if you only can do ONE exercise, it would be heavy heavy heavy deadlifts, and a shit-ton of them. and yes, that is for losing fat.
-
tone muscles????Let's define what this means..this simply means swapping fat for muscle..a reduction in bodyfat %..the quickest way to burn fat off of the body is to follow a strict high lean protein/low carb diet and hit the weights correctly..full splits- attacking every body part with targeted resistance..cardio is a very slow means to fat loss..easy to lose weight by starving yourself and non stop cardio..but, most of this weight loss will be muscle mass, water, and a little bit of fat..preserve your muscles(try to add) b/c they are the fat burning engine of the body..have fun

exactly..if you can only do one exercise, you want to do the one that will build the most muscle possible. before you worry about cardio you need to worry about building/maintaining muscle.
i didnt mention diet because i assumed that was already in order because there was no question about it.

my favorites! i like to pre exhaust with 5 or 6 sets of smith machine deadlifts, and then move over to pulldowns so i can go super heavy and still be isolating my lats from my biceps...then i move over to bent over db rows and just go nuts for as heavy as i can go for as many sets as i can go. bakc is one one muscle group that i truly love and never have a bad day working out.
