I think the hype of Adrea's Munzer's contest shape is overrated. Yes he had some stragnations on his quads and triceps, but that's nothing unusual in the sport. Stragnations isn't really a sign on how hard you can be, its about the shape of the muscle -and individual thing. Some don't get them irrespective how low bodyfat they get.

Actually, I think you are wrong about Munzer...Munzer was the most conditioned and striated bodybuilder I have ever seen...striations aren't that important in today's bodybuilding, but back in the 80's you had to be really conditioned and shredded to where you could see every individual muscle and the individual cut in the muscle, or you might as well not have shown up to the contest...trying to reach and maintain that condition cost him his life unfortunately.....

Getting killed because of steroids overdose is near impossible, unless you eat a jar of dboll each day. He probably died because of blood/fluid problems.

the whole 70's 80's was great bodies and you have to respect the fact they def trained harder then they do today but that size is very common these days all over the place whereever you go you see guys that size

Munzer was one bad MOFO...but I just don't get the psychology of pushing yourself to the brink of death (and in Munzer's case beyond the brink) in order to win a trophy and $4000 for 7th place. It's like bodybuilders are self-abusers who compete with each other not for the glory of who has the best body but to see who can withstand the torture they put themselves through...then they can brag that they are the tougher man in that regard......really strange...and crazy!!!
Also I agree with everyone about the word "stragnations"...did they add that to the dictionary yet? ;D
