UFC President Dana White provides an update on the Mirko Cro Cop situation — the 2006 Pride FC Open Weight Grand Prix Champion has a losing record inside the Octagon (1-2) and has not competed since UFC 75: “Champion vs. Champion” in September 2007. No word on what will happen if the deadline expires with no word from the Croatian.

I kind of disagree. I don't see how it could destroy his energy levels. For sure dieting down isn't fun, but most of the guys at 205 do it. If you compare Crocop last showing to Page or Ortiz, they're similar in height and weight in the fight.
All Crocop would have to do is diet a little bit and drop water, he could make it pretty easily.

I don't know. None of us are in any position to really disagree with the guy. We don't know his body. And to be honest, with the amount of training, cardio and conditioning he does, cutting another 10-15 pounds off his frame probably wouldn't be easy.
It's all speculation, as none of us know his body. I thought he said in an interview a month or two ago that he had bulked up to around 230.

An article at European sports service www.sportal.hr has come in contact with Mirko Cro Cop's camp. Apparently the Croatian striker was "surprised" and not aware of Dana White's deadline of Monday Feb. 4th; the latest Mirko could notify UFC president Dana White of whether or not he planned to retire. He also stated that he is ready to face anyone, including current interim champion Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira.
Mirko Cro Cop Filipovic is currently coming off of two disappointing losses. A vicious knockout to Gabriel Gonzaga at UFC 70 and a decision loss to Cheick Kongo at UFC 75. He is regarded by many as one of the top strikers in all of Mixed Martial Arts.

First, the definition of NHB, "No Holds Barred."

You’ll see the fight that earned him the title “Axe Murderer.” While all the bouts on this DVD give in to Wanderlei’s brutality and style of fighting, some fights give preview showings of Wanderlei’s opponents past fights. All content adding to the depth and history of Wanderlei giving shades of color and dimension on his current overall reign in MMA. Silva’s savage fist throwing and sprawl are present from the beginning of his career, apparently.
As for the fights, what can I say? I don’t think there was any vast changes in his style, or execution since his first fight up until now, so if you’ve seen wanderlei you know what you’re getting, eight fights starring him in his young career. (I don’t mean there has been no changes with Wanderlei and how he’s evolved; however by knowing today’s Silva you know the premise of the younger Silva.) If you don’t know wanderlei Silva, know this, very aggressive standup less-than-likely suspect ground game, great sprawl, and the only person to hold the Pride Light heavyweight title.
