fixed.
present evidence of a fight that you have seen where wandi fought 'no rules' or walk away.
Ok dipshit, let me explain some things to you.
First, the definition of NHB, "No Holds Barred."
What is NHB?
No Holds Barred fighting is exactly that - once in the ring, anything goes. In its true form, NHB has no weight classes, no rounds, and no time limits. NHB has been called everything from "brutal" to "inhumane" and has been likened to a modern version of gladiator fights and human cockfighting.
Now, lets take a look at the reviews on Wanderlei's Dvd.
Wanderlei Silva’s Greatest Hits …Kicks and Knees to the Face! review
Wanderlei Silva has cemented his legacy in Mixed Martial Arts by demolishing and violently destroying opponents in UFC and Pride.
But what you haven't seen of "The Axe Murderer" may shock you!
If you thought his vicious knockouts in Pride were brutal, wait until you a load of "vale tudo" (anything goes)! Wanderlei takes no prisoners, with a brutal assault of knees, elbows, headbutts and relentless kicks, as he attempts to massacre the opposition.
From his historic battle with Artur Mariano, to his destruction of three Ultimate Fighting Championship fighters, see how and where he earned the name "Axe Murderer".
Digitally re-mastered footage with "never-before-seen" fights and clips featuring the most sadistic fighter on earth!
The extra footage is the commercial done with Mark the Hammer Coleman. There’s also training footage, done at the Chute Box Academy, Wanderlei boxing ‘ninja’ with Shogun making a brief cameo. If you have International Vale Tudo 2: Birth of an Axe Murder, take notice all three of his fights from that event are on this DVD. (Three from eight..) Given the fights are from different low profile events… the visual takes a hit. Sometimes there’s announcers, however within those ‘sometimes’ the announcers are speaking Portuguese.
I thought one of the biggest downfalls of this DVD was, time. Let’s just say… it’s a hard transition. In my personal experience, going from the spectacle of PRIDE and the Quality of the UFC to watching this may be one of the hardest difficulties. However the gritty gorilla filming may give you another prospective. With the ‘No holds Barred’ barenuckle, action combined with the ambience of the lower production you might find yourself loving this DVD and adding depth to this current title holder and superstar. We’ll say, an ‘understanding’ of the rough life instead of the iconic life it may seem to be now.
You’ll see the fight that earned him the title “Axe Murderer.” While all the bouts on this DVD give in to Wanderlei’s brutality and style of fighting, some fights give preview showings of Wanderlei’s opponents past fights. All content adding to the depth and history of Wanderlei giving shades of color and dimension on his current overall reign in MMA. Silva’s savage fist throwing and sprawl are present from the beginning of his career, apparently.
As for the fights, what can I say? I don’t think there was any vast changes in his style, or execution since his first fight up until now, so if you’ve seen wanderlei you know what you’re getting, eight fights starring him in his young career. (I don’t mean there has been no changes with Wanderlei and how he’s evolved; however by knowing today’s Silva you know the premise of the younger Silva.) If you don’t know wanderlei Silva, know this, very aggressive standup less-than-likely suspect ground game, great sprawl, and the only person to hold the Pride Light heavyweight title.
Here is a video of some of those NHB fights.
Also, just to show you how dangerous NHB matches are, here is a video of a fighter who gets killed in a NHB match.
