A lot of us Get Big members seem to enjoy making an attempt at ridiculing each other and the pros in particular.
My question here is ..... What Get Big members would be man enough to make those same adverse comments while in the presence of those whom they are posting about? Are they considered "brave" in your eyes?
And then list those GetBiggers whom you think only make adverse comments about various individuals from the safety of their computer. And would you refer to these individuals as "cowards" or not?

I'm pretty straight forward and i think that any pro should be MAN enough to stay through a nice chat about drug abuse, synthol and big guts.
The fact that these guys run away from these topics will make it impossible to talk about them, not that someone is too afraid.
Look at Special Ed and Blockhead for example, didn't they "interview" pros on these topics?
The pros are the ones that don't have the balls so to speak.

But, Donkey, have YOU ever spoken "straight forward" and personally with a Pro about your thoughts on the use of drugs, synthol, and big guts? And I don't mean in a public forum.
I have had the opportunity and have done so on numerous occasions and no one has ever run away or even backed away from responding with a straightforward answer.
I may not always agree with the answer I got, but I have to admit that they did indeed "have the balls" to offer a response. That may be because I asked the question without an attempt to ridicule. And I have always spoken with a Pro on this subject outside of a public forum.
If you asked a pro in public about his/her "suppliment intake" today, it would be somewhat similar to asking him which bank he recently robbed.

I have never asked that question, but i also have never had a sort of "private" talk with a pro. I think asking Ronnie Coleman about his stack on a public autograph signing is plain useless, like you stated.
I have told some german BB that his japanese Tattoo is gibberish though. I just got a mad stare. ;D
You know, all that "would do dare to" talk implies that a pro would somehow react in a way that one could fear, i.e. hit you, sue you or whatever.

I guess I respect the olden days way too much - when men were men and differences were often settled by pistol shots at 20 paces, or face to face within the range of a clenched fist.
I really do have a tough time understanding how any man can accuse another of some unsettled difference while remaining incognito behind a computer.
Back in my time, adverse gossip seldom occured outside of the closed doors of the local ladies' knitting club.
Have we all become part of that knitting group?

And when they see the enemy in real life, they do what's necessary to win the battle and save their own ass.

I don't know how you consider cop-killers as HEROES, as you called them, but I just don't feel that way. I think cops are brave and THEY are the heroes. But I respect your right to glorify those who kill them, however much I disagree.

240. Damn! I must have stated myself incorrectly.
I have three members of my family who are police officers.
My best bud is a Federal Officer and most of the guys I went to school with are Firemen.
I have the utmost respect for each of them.
I guess you can tell I come from an Irish family.
I also feel the same way you do about Police Officers. And also those in the fire department.
Just a little background here ..... My best friend in school went into the fire department upon graduating from college.
He was a high ranking officer but he fought big fires right there along-side his men until the roof caved in beneath him. He passed away a few years later but I missed his funeral due to a serious family illness many miles away.
I'll regret that till the day I die.

Yea, Van, that is precisely what I do mean! Anyone who hid in such a manner was usually branded as a "coward". Of course we did not have computers back then to "PLAY GAMES" with the reputations of others.
If and when someone had a problem with another person, such problem was usually solved/unsolved while within the immediate presence of that individual. I honestly cannot recall myself or anyone I knew accusing another person of doing "this" or "that" or attempting to tarnish his/her reputation without receiving that "coward" tag. Even when marijuana became the "drug of choice", no one I knew accused a user of doing so unless he did so face to face.
Believe me, times were a lot different back then. Much different!
Just about every weekend two or more antagonists would meet up in an agreed upon area to settle their differences with all their friends in tow. The problems were usually of a minor nature concerning high school rivalry or girlfriend problems or the type of motorcycle you rode.
Once that was settled, and in most cases, good friendships usually developed.

I'm on here every day but rarely post because I can't be bothered to have it out with some punk who knows nothing of history and hasn't experienced life beyond his 21 years.
Anyway love your stories. An old pal of mine was in the Corps down in San Diego and had great stories of driving down to the TJ jail to pick up the detainees and bring them home.( Get your pay and then piss it up against a wall)

Van, you throw a couple of difficult questions at me because its always hard to answer a hypothetical question regarding how one would react under any given circumstance; but I do know I'd think it out somewhat like the following ....
If my friend had a serious problem smoking dope (or a problem with any other drug), I'd first of all consider why the question is being asked. If my friend was applying for a job as a commercial pilot with United Airlines, I'd probably tell the guy to take a second look. And then I'd tell my friend face to face what happened and encourage him to change his ways or seek employment elsewhere.
It might be clearer to tell you what I would NOT do .... I definitely would not get on my computer and tell the world. I wouldn't do that even if he was my best enemy. And I'd never hide behind the excuse that it's just a game!
